Former Udinese midfielder Sulley Muntari could be on his way back to Italy next term as Inter Milan reportedly turn their full attention to the Ghanaian.
Sky Italia report that the Portsmouth ace has met with Inter chief Marco Branca and has verbally committed to a £1.5-a-year deal which could rise depending on length of stay and appearances.
The £15m rated man is seen as a viable alternative to Frank Lampard by boss Jose Mourinho, with the Englishman still no closer to a Serie A switch.
Muntari signed for Pompey for £5m and has also been linked with Juventus recently, whose pursuit of Xabi Alonso has been similarly unfruitful.

i don't know whether it is illegal or not...i m not an expert about that...but it just doesn't make sense to contact the player first and reach an agreement with him b4 contacting the club...comparing to reach an agreement with the player, i think it is harder to come up an agreement with the club...so u should do the harder part first...

what about if chelsea offer what porto want and they reach an agreement? Q might still refuse to go to chelsea but i don't think there are many players would reject a huge offer from roman...ok...maybe aguero...but there are not too many aguero around...

i can't believe that if mancini is the only offensive player we got this summer...muntari is a DM...i don't think we can rely only on mancini offensively...ibra needs more help...we need one more winger...not necessarily Q (would be great if we got him) but someone has to come...

Sulley Muntari’s move to Inter Milan has taken a step closer with news that the Portsmouth midfielder will arrive in Italy on Friday add the final touches to a five-year contract.
Muntari was in sensational former for the south coast club last term, helping the side to FA Cup glory and in the process attracting the interest of a host of European clubs.
As revealed by Goal.com on Thursday, the 23-year old had expressed his desire to move to Inter to Pompey manager Harry Redknapp after Nerazzurri manager, Jose Mourinho, made public his interest.
While Redknapp stated that the former Udinese player would not be making a return to Serie A, Inter’s failed bid for Chelsea star Frank Lampard opened up further finances to fund the move.
A source closer to the player told Football365.co.za that the move has been agreed, saying: "Its done. Sulley will leave England for Italy tomorrow morning to have a medical test with Inter," the source said.
The Ghana international is expected to cost his new employers around £11 million, with additional amounts due depending on particular milestones, and the player himself will earn around £3.million a year.

i don't think mourinho even wanted him...we just signed the contract with jemenez's old club last summer...so we had no choice but to buy him...(co-ownership, i guess)...rumors say that we wanted to send him back to his old club...but we had to take him because of the contract we signed...so regardless of what were the circumstances...
the guy is a good player...and is a nice backup...but i think we need more than him...we need an established star to be the starter...
