This was a charity game played in Stuttgart.

Stuttgart won the game 3-0

They just showed about 30 minutes of the match on German TV. The commentator was very well informed and very positive about Esteghlal and Iranian football.

They mentioned at the beginning of the summary, that it should be a real tough test for Stuttgart. They said, Esteghlal is like the Iranian Bayern Munich with 13 titles. The commentator said that there was not much between the two sides, especially in first half.

From the start, he announced, that Esteghlal had a tough match on Thursday, a bad travel (almost a small Odysee) on Friday, since the flight was delayed due to snow problems, and that the Iranians were supposed to be very tired, and thereforre probably will not be able to play well until the end.

They also said, experts say IPL is by far the strongest league in Asia (I am glad about that comment, although I think that's, well, let's say a little exaggerated). Furthermore the standard of Iranian football was praised, as they stand in 28th place of FIFA rankings, ahead of established teams like Greece.

At the end, they also interviewed Stuttgart's coach Felix Magath and he repeated, that Esteghlal was equal in first half and Stuttgart was lucky not to fall behind and that it was a tough test, but he thinks due to Stuttgart's advantage in second half, the result is ok.

They even had info from Roland Koch's former assistant at SS, quoting him that he thinks Iranian players are top individual players, but often have problems with fast play over the full 90 minutes.

Overall, they were well informed and very positive on Iranian football and on Esteghlal's performance.
