Nobody wants to get rid of Eto'o because as you say he's a worldclass striker. it's more because of his unprofessional behaviour & not keeping his mouth shut i.e. saying he will leave if Barca win nothing next season. He headbutted a reporter a few days ago. Why should Barca want a player like that no matter how good a footballer he is? Sell him.

I would go for David Villa. He'd be cheaper than Benzema and I think he's a safe bet. Let Madrid and Man Utd fight for the French. Villa is a man that assured a good amount of goals per year since long ago and he's ready for the following step in his career. That's only my wish... why doesn't Luis Enrique talk to him?

I'm sure that Eto'o will triumph wherever he goes though

Well if Eto'o goes this season then Benzema, Villa or Huntelaar should be signed straight away. If Henry stays along with Bojan then there are enough backups IMO.

Last time I checked football was a team sport and attributing the success of a team over 38 matches on one player is not right IMO

Fact is that Atletico were underperforming and have Aguero to thank for getting them to a CL spot while he scored 19 goals along the way.
