Too much. Benzema should be the main target now.Los Ché play a hard bargain. They want €40m for Villa.
Nobody wants to get rid of Eto'o because as you say he's a worldclass striker. it's more because of his unprofessional behaviour & not keeping his mouth shut i.e. saying he will leave if Barca win nothing next season. He headbutted a reporter a few days ago. Why should Barca want a player like that no matter how good a footballer he is? Sell him.its fvcking idiotic I say, we have a proven world class striker and there are stories of us wanting to sell him and get a substitute with lessee quality and for same amount of money.
Would Valencia be prepared to sell Villa to a close rival though?I would go for David Villa. He'd be cheaper than Benzema and I think he's a safe bet. Let Madrid and Man Utd fight for the French. Villa is a man that assured a good amount of goals per year since long ago and he's ready for the following step in his career. That's only my wish... why doesn't Luis Enrique talk to him?
I'm sure that Eto'o will triumph wherever he goes though
Me too.The problem is, if all rumours are true, that Pep prefers a big striker like Adebayor, Berbatov or Ibra. Personally I would prefer Villa over all of those.
Why? He scores a heck of a lot of goals.Trezeguet is being touted around today as Pep's dream signing.
It's a bad dream Pep.
Well if Eto'o goes this season then Benzema, Villa or Huntelaar should be signed straight away. If Henry stays along with Bojan then there are enough backups IMO.And? Then Guiza or anyone that won't cost more than €15m and then attempt to sign Benzema next year instead possibly selling Henry.
True.It would be a big shame if we let Madrid grab Huntelaar from under our noses.
Luca Toni would be ace :thumbsup:how 'bout Luca Toni? he did looked like the kind of strikers the pep needs.. I really like his presence inside the box..
Eto'o & Guddy are leaving apparently.in my opinion Nihat would do an excellent job with us.
anyways, which team in their right mind having Etoo, Henry, Bojan and Guddy would still be looking for a striker?!!
our problems were in defense and midfield.. when these two compartments are functioning the strikers will shine! the ones we have certainly are not lacking in skill!
I like to see Trezeguet join too. He scores loads of goals....Like I said in another thread, I like the Trezeguet rumours. I don't see us linked with David Villa, but I'd welcome him as well. Any of those two would do.
Great coach. May be heading for Chelsea. And better yet, how about Prandelli?![]()
For the right amount of money (or just for the opportunity) he'd go to Chelsea IMO.Out of all the coaches I know, Prandelli strikes me as the BEST fit for Barcelona ...
For Chelsea, not so much. Of course he's not on the market so it's a moot point.
Aguero almost singlehandedly assuring Atlectico CL qualification for next season & scoring 19 goals along the way. He also won the Antonio Puerta Award for the Best "LA LIGA" player for the 2007-2008 season.Good thing you said in your opinion without giving reasons why ?
making your opinion meaningless.
I agree. If Benzema is signed for more than 40M & then goes on to play rubbish in LA LIGA then someone will be in trouble.but seriously in the last 2 days i have been watching some games and this Benzema kid is very average! he misses chances left and right its incredible! I dont think he would be a success in spain.
Fact is that Atletico were underperforming and have Aguero to thank for getting them to a CL spot while he scored 19 goals along the way.Last time I checked football was a team sport and attributing the success of a team over 38 matches on one player is not right IMO
