Surprised you haven't mentioned Huntelaar or Mario Gomez. They might not be the front runners but they are clearly better than Cruz or Crespo at this point.

I still don't see why there aren't any Mario Gomez rumours. I guess Barça just dreads Germans ever since the Schuster.

At first I thought he'd be a good backup, but from what I've seen I'm not that impressed. He gets his goals, but IMO they're not that impressive. The most impressive thing about him was his anticipation. Besides, he'd probably cost doubel what he's worth.

I'm not so sure, Stuttgart is not in CL anymore and if no other strong bids come in, they won't be in a position to ask for an inflated price. Remember he's only 22, and he's already starting for the German National Team, he has to have the goods to be in their starting 11, but I'll admit I didn't watch Stuttgart regularly last season. Better to make a cheeky bid now before the Euros really go full steam and his stock rises.

You know, in a couple seasons, when the African nations cup comes around, Barça will have as big a clearout in depth as Portsmouth has nowadays. Not very sound planning in my book.

If Txiki pays 27mil for adebayor it will be a ****ing disaster. Not only will you buy a mediocre striker who leaves every two years to african nations, but you will give the scum the money with which to buy Villa.
