Tottenha, offered 10 million pounds for Dynamo Kiev's Ukrainian striker Sergei Rebrov, and hopes to sign the 25-year-old before the end of the season. Dynamo, however, wants 12 million pounds.

Spurs will also offer England defender Sol Campbell a new contract worth 40,000 pounds a week in order to prevent him leaving the club at the end of the season.

I do hope that rebrov will come to spurs, He will be a good signing for us. Campbell should stay we are on the up at the moment, this season we have proved that we can beat the best, (man u, liverpool, and arse*al all defeated.) What is rebrov like by the way. If he's anythint like Shevchenko, then I'll, be a satisfied spurs fan, although its been long enough.....

- Tottenham Hotspur are negotiating
with Dynamo Kiev to sign Ukraine international striker Sergei
Rebrov, the English premier league club confirmed on Tuesday.
"We are in talks with Kiev officials and Rebrov's agent but
that's all we can say at the moment," a Tottenham spokesman told
Reuters.
"We hope to have a clearer idea about how the negotiations
are going later in the day."
Rebrov has been linked with a move to the north London club
all season. David Pleat, Tottenham's director of football, flew
to Kiev for a meeting with Dynamo officials last week, the
spokesman said.
Tottenham declined to comment on the transfer fee but
reports in the British press suggested the club were prepared to
pay 10 million pounds ($15.60 million) for the 25-year-old.
Rebrov has also been linked with a move to Inter Milan. His
close friend and former Dynamo strike partner Andrei Shevchenko
moved to city rivals AC Milan a year ago.
Tottenham, ninth in the premier league, have been desperate
to lure a top striker since the departure of Germany's Juergen
Klinsmann two seasons ago.

I don't know about most of you, but I had high hopes for Rebrov. I was hoping he would join a huge club (Arsenal, Chelsea, AC Milan, etc). I don't think he will help win nything playing for Tottenham.
