While reading my new World Soccer issue I read something about a Scottish Cup game cancellation due to damage done to the new "Lisbon Lions" stand. What are they talking about? Does Sporting sell merchandise at Celtic park? I realize their shirts are nearly identical, but what is the deal?

Celtic won the Champions League I believe in Lisbon in the 60's, the final was played in Sportin's stadium...so now Celtic is referred to as the Lisbon Lions

Almost right Marcoa, it was played at the national stadium in Lisbon, not the Alvalade - 1967 i believe.

But I think there is something more...
I went to their site once and read about that victory, but I'm not sure wether they're not conected in another way too. But, anyway, that game must be the reason for calling them Lisbon Lions.
I loved to see Sporting beat them some 4 years ago, with Cadete scoring, if I'm not mistaken. Now THAT was a wonderful conection...!
