OK I would like us all to make an SA XI team and a Europe XI team at the same time making a prediciton for who will win...

SA XI:

(4-3-3) Dida; J. Zanetti, Ayala, Samuel, Heinze; Mascherano, Emerson, Aimar; Ronaldinho, Adriano, Chevanton

European XI:

(4-4-2) Buffon; Puyol, Nesta, Cannavaro, Zambrotta; Joaquin, Vieira, Ballack, Robben; Shevchenko, Henry

I usually forget really good players with these things so I might have done a mistake.

Prediction SA: 2-2 Europe: Europe win 4-3 on pens :D

Is that the best you can do? Surely you cannot be serious.

Buffon

Zambrotta
Nesta
Charragher
Salgado

Nedved
Gerrard
Joaquin

Totti
Shevchenko
Van Nistelrooy

I can see why you laughed seeming as his name is spelled Carragher not Charragher, but agreed probably one of if not the best center backs in Europe :shades:

Dude....

You have to keep in mind, any South American team would be bringing the combined might of Ronaldinho, Ronaldo, Aimar, Adriano etc....

Would you REALLY trust a guy like Carragher to deal with guys like them?

More then I'd trust Olegular...

Carragher is as steady as rock and will never let you down, sure he won't get the job done in spectacular fashion but he will get it done. And no I don't really think he is a better defender then people such as Puyol, Nesta, Samuel, Carvalho, Ayala, Campbell etc. but he's a damn good one alot better then some ignorrant fan's give him credit for.

I know Carragher is not the most popular of defenders. He plays for Liverpool and is never picked out by Alan Hansen. The player himself can hold a defence on his own and has long been underrated. He was so good, not even a broken leg was able keep him out of the side who all they did back then was chop and change. Under the Houllier regime, if you got injured, you're out the team for good. Amazingly, that didn't happen to Carragher.

I know he's slow but the rest of his game is really top draw. Try watching him before you judge him.

Who else was I supposed to pick?

Cannavaro? No longer good enough.

Ashley Cole? :howler:

Maybe Campbell, but I'd rather have Carragher.

Like I said. Try watching him.

First off Cannavaro is back to were he used to be. Remember that he's not with Inter anymore, and is running Juve's defence which is a good as can be.

Second of all how bout a guy by the name of Carvalho, who ran Porto's D to CL champions, and Portugals to the Euro Cup final.

Also I can't believe Cristian Ronaldo has made anybodies list.
