Panathinaikos want to sign Portugal star Paolo Sousa from Parma AC.

The Greek side see midfielder Sousa as a possible replacement for Nikolaos Liberopoulos who is in talks to join Internazionale.

Inter sold Sousa to Parma last November but the Portuguese international is now a target for the Athens club as he prepares for tomorrow night's Euro 2000 semi final against France in Brussels.

Injury problems have so far prevented Sousa from playing more than one match at the Euro showpiece event.

The highly rated Greek international Liberopoulos is set to agree a move to Inter at the end of his current contract with the Panathinaikos club. The 24 year old is to agree a contract with Inter which starts in June 2001 after the end of his current deal."

What abn awful article...

Panathinaikos wants Paulo Sousa to replace Mykland, not Liberopulos.Liberopulos is a forward. He is very good.I cn tell you that he is better than Hakan Sukur,Recoba,Ventola,Zamorano,Mutu etc etc...He can be a scorer and a suplier as well.

Inter wants to make a trade with Panathinaikos, aka Sousa and maybe Zamorano for Liberopulos and maybe money. But of course Panathinaikos is not mad to do it.Its true however that till now he refuses to extend his contract.

If you hadnt signed Sukur I would love to see Liberopulos playing with Inter because he would shine. But now I think he should reject it because the line up at Inter is made by names and wages and not the value of the player.

However,I must say that your Greek scouts do their job exelent. When they will "discover" Michalis Konstadinou you'll get a forward better than Crespo...I just hope Parma scouts (if we have any) find him first.

Sousa will be on the bench for Olympiakos and they dont want him.

Panathinaikos does not offer Liberopulos.Inter wants him.
You'll see... :)
