One of the international rules I would use is stopping play and restart the game outside the zone when an attacking player is in the crease. The refs weren't calling penalties, so why not something less drastic.

I also like on faceoffs, the attacking player must set first, then the defender. It doesn't seem like much, but why should the home team get the advantage on faceoffs? I mean, they get the the last change.

I saw the Finns, the Swedes, the Swiss, and the Italians hitting and checking! So much for the excues that the wider surface would take hitting out of the game. Since this is the new NHL, I would like to see 200 x 100 rinks in the NHL. Then, maybe the Islanders can get a new building
