Small boost for Swiss soccer

Switzerland have drawn with Germany, 1-1, in a friendly. Hakin Yakin shored a goal for the Swiss, but Ulf Kirsten equalised.
You may be saying that they didn't qualify for Euro 2000, this is true but tied Denmark in qualifying but Denmark went through on goal difference. They are just as good as Denmark and will have no problem qualifying for WC 2002.
In the past months, they tied Norway and Germany and hammered Oman.
There are lots of great youth players, too, so expect a great Swiss team in the very near future.
