Players who were born on or after 1 January 1988 are eligible to play in the 2011 UEFA European Under-21 Championship, host by Denmark. Host team is automatically qualified for the tournament. Other 52 teams are divided into 10 groups. Ten group winners and 4 bets teams from place 2nd will go to play offs.

The fixtures of the seven play-off matches are determined by means of a draw. The seeded teams will be the seven group winners with the best coefficients on the basis of the results achieved in the qualifying competition of the 2009-11 UEFA European Under-21 Championship and also the qualifying competition of the 2007-09 UEFA European Under-21 Championship The winners and runners-up from the same group must not be drawn against each other. Play-off matches are played according to the knock-out system, with each team playing each opponent twice, in home and away matches. The team which scores the greater aggregate of goals in the two matches qualifies for the final tournament. Eight teams participate in the final tournament: the seven winners of the playoff matches and Denamrk, team of the final tournament host association.

Vladimir Weiss jr (Man City) and Miroslav Stoch (Twente Enschede) are still an option for U21 despite the fact they were called to the senior squad.

I really, really hope that common sence wins and these youngsters shall be avalaible for Kitka´s U21 side.

from what I read, Croatia had better technical players, but the Slovaks fought harder but lacked the technical skill Croatia had. Only watched the final 10 minutes, though the ref was unfair towards the end, Croatia were winning throw-ins yet he gave the ball to Slovakia

Fans of Zlate Moravce are unfair pricks who are always whinning about refs decisions when they aren´t going their way. Some calls were really laughable.

Slovakia dominated between 45th and 70th, the rest of game Croats had the game under control. Rakitič and Kalinič top.

From team Slovakia, Stoch and Mak were top, CB Cech from Bohemians flop. First half was pretty awfull from our side, hoofing high balls on our smallish strikers. In the 2nd we improved and set Croats under pressure, with the substitute Mak tearing your left side apart. Around 70th Croats regained control over the pitch and dictated the game again.

before the game winner, 4 slovakian defs got bullied by 2 cro strikers. One of the worst defending I´ve ever seen on this level.

Was that the strongest Turkish U-21 team?

Either way, quite an impressive win. Sylvestr with another goal.
