Many of you say that the likes of Djuricic, Nastasic, Markovic, etc. would have been picked by any other coach, but I don't believe it, as history shows otherwise - just look at Pizon not even selecting Tadic in the last Euro qualifiers. When Miha started, many didn't know much about these kids, but now many more do. Props to Miha for giving them the confidence they need to better succeed.

What about his other experiments with youngsters such as Mijailovic (over Matic), Radovanovic (over Kuzmanovic), Darko Lazovic (over Jankovic), Stevanovic (over Ninkovic) and M.Scepovic (over Jovanovic)?

You do realize that everyone of these players you listed were called up and started games before Mihajlovic was even coach. Look up the lineups for the friendlies against Cyprus and Armenia in February of 2012 when Curcic was coach.

Perhaps I should clarify that what I meant was that I'm not convinced that the young players mentioned would have as big roles in this past campaign under a different coach. Probably some of them would have been called up, but they wouldn't have played as much as during this past campaign while under Miha, at least not in my opinion.

Looking at those games you mentioned, I don't see how that makes much of a difference. For one, they were friendly games in which Curcic was expirementing - only 2 players (Ivanovic and Kuzmanovic) started in both games - thus, they were two completely different teams.

Also, if you read what Curcic said after announcing his squad, he mentioned that we would be without the likes of Bisevac, Krasic, Zigic, Pantelic, and Mrdja due to injuries. He also mentioned that we have players like Sulejmani, Jankovic, Tosic, and Basta who could all play on the wings alongside Krasic.

Do you really believe that with those players (who Curcic implied he would have called up had they not been injured) that guys like Markovic, Nastasic, Djuricic, etc. would have gotten as many chances as they did under Miha? I certainly don't - and that was why Miha got rid of most of those guys - so that our younger players could be given chances. I don't see how any of our coaches would have started the likes of Markovic, Djuricic, etc. (perhaps even Tadic) with the likes of Jankovic, Jovanovic, Krasic, Zigic, and Pantelic all on the team, along with Tosic, Basta, and Sulejmani. That would be a very problematic move, as our veterans would be insulted that they are sitting on the bench for a bunch of kids, not to metnion that there simply isn't enough room for all of them.

So this idea that Mihajlovic was responsible for giving the young players a chance is totally wrong.

Are you joking? Mihajlovic gave young players a chance, that's a fact. When was the last time we had such a young team and so many young players given chances in qualifiers than just this last campaign under Miha? You attempt to deny this is ridiculous. Nastasic, Ignjovski, Markovic, Djuricic, and Mitrovic all got quite a bit of playing time and the opportunity to develop. You can even include Tadic in that list, as even under Curcic he never started in either friendly you mentioned, nor did he even play a total of one half (45mins). It is an undeniable fact that Miha gave chances to younger players, more so than any other NT coach I can remember.

Završi se i ovaj cirkus. Pompezno dočekan, s podrškom većeg dela navijača, javnosti i stručnjaka, Siniša Mihajlović je otišao u sasvim drugačijem raspoloženju. S polupraznog stadiona u Užicu, s meča protiv nesrećno sklepanog B tima Superlige, dok su ostale ozbiljne reprezentacije igrale prijateljske mečeve pripremajući se za baraž ili u najmanju ruku vojevale odlučujuće bitke u baražu. Siniša je pobedio novinare, koji su dosad više puta pobedili njega. Otišao je sa stadiona Begluk, bez prilike da mu puna Marakana kaže šta misli o njemu. Marakanu od koje je u drugoj polovini mandata bežao kao đavo od krsta, da ne bi čuo znate već šta...
Miha je prvi selektor koji nas je doveo u društvo San Marina, Farskih Ostrva i ostalih Liliputanaca. Kada je postalo jasno da nećemo učestvovati na najlepšem Mundijalu u 50 godina, da je srpski fudbal zbog toga ostao "kratak" za desetak miliona evra, počele su da se nižu laži i uvijanja...
Iako je bilo i onih koji podržavaju Mihajlovića, velika većina je bila protiv i želela da mu što pre vidi leđa. Ali kod nas želje i realnost nisu isto. Oni koji su doveli Mihajlovića već godinama nemaju podršku, ali ih to mnogo ne tangira, opstaju na površini uz svoje dobro poznate glasačke mašinerije.
Hteli su da zadrže neuspešnog selektora jer odavno nisu imali takvu facu koja će primati udarce umesto njih. U tu svrhu su se služili manipulacijama, lažima, skrivanjem istine... Opipavali su puls javnosti pričama o produžetku ugovora, ali ni Mihajlović nije naivan i znalački je čekao ponudu iz Italije. Sve vreme, Srbija je slušala laži.
Miha je govorio da ne pregovara ni sa kim, da FSS ima prednost, ali su ga njegovi Italijani odali da je zeleno svetlo Sampdoriji dao još pre meča s Rusijom. Tole je to demantovao, usput šaljući patetične poruke da njihova ljubav ne mora da se završi baš sada i da ima šanse da ostanu u vezi još dve godine. Nisu mogli kao ljudi da kažu istinu. Jedan Bajern i jedan Jup Hajnkes to mogu da urade usred sezone, ali kod nas izgleda nisu smeli da kažu, plašeći se valjda da ne polome srca navijačima Srbije.
S porukom da ne zna da li će ostati njegovi zaštitinici Karadžić i Laković, Mihajlović je otplovio u najveću luku Italije. Isti ti za koje on smatra da neće dugo trajati sada žele opet da biraju selektora. Isti ti koji su najavili da će da se povuku pred pritiskom jednog kluba s Topčidera (a onda se i tom klubu izgleda nešto zaokrenulo, pa su svi junaci nikom ponikli i otišli u Jagodinu s Toletom u ložu), sada sve jače najavljuju da iz fotelje neće da idu. Ono što obećaše u drugom dnevniku RTS-a, sada porekoše. Doduše, iskrenost im nikad nije bila jača strana...

Sada očigledno ona priča o decembru ne važi, Tole će da nam bira još jednog selektora. Pred četvrto veliko takmičenje za njegovog mandata. Inače, od dosadašnja tri, plasirali smo se samo na jedno, što dovoljno govori o radu čoveka koji se diči Kućom fudbala i reflektorima napravljenim od tuđih para.
Opoziciju nemaju, osim Zvezdana Terzića čiji rad smo takođe videli i vidimo ga u OFK Beogradu. Zato će verovatno i da o(p)stanu. Lagali su nas sa pričom da posle Mihe nema ko drugi, kao što će sada da nas lažu pričom da i posle njih nema niko bolji. Što je i logično, kada su najuspešnije poput Antića ili Đukića proterali iz Srbije. Već polako spremaju svoje glasačke mašinerije, svoje kandidate, svoje političke gurue, svoje novinare koje svako zdravog razuma može lako da prepozna... Traže jaka leđa, pošto im Mihajlović više nije zaklon. Spremaju nove manipulacije. Uzdaju se u talenat ove generacije koju imamo, pa se nadaju da će im ona biti nova dobar paravan.
A Miha? Miha će opet moći da bude Italijan u Italiji. Veći Italijan i od njih samih. Mandat će mu se pamtiti po velikim očekivanjima i na kraju velikom razočarenju. Nadali smo se da će drčni Siniša iz Italije doći i sastaviti nam najbolju reprezentaciju, zavesti malo reda posle havarije iza Pižona, ali selektor se na kraju ponašao problematičnije od igrača. Išao je glavom kroz zid, terao inat, samo on je valjda video da imamo pet boljih zadnjih veznih (imena ćete se lako setiti) od Matića, čija cena trenutno iznosi između 35 i 50 miliona evra?! Njegov inat je išao u prilog onima koji su ga doveli, a čija popularnost i ugled ne mogu da se izmere.
Najavio je i da će se vratiti jednog dana. Nadamo se samo da nije sklopljen neki đavolski višegodišnji pakt da se vrati kod ovih istih, jer to bi značilo da se ovde godinama neće ništa promeniti i da nam mađarski scenario ne gine.
Na kraju možemo samo da kažemo Grazie Sampdoriji koja nas je oslobodila Mihajlovića. I da se nadamo da u klubu iz Đenove Siniša neće biti toliko arogantan, nadrkan i, zašto ne reći, loš. Da neće upropastiti nekog od talenata nekadašnjeg giganta (čija zlatna vremena svi pamtimo po Vujadinu Boškovu i natpisu ERG na dresovima) zbog samo njemu razumljivih zamisli.
A mi? Eh, da se pojavi bar još jedna Sampdorija koja bi odvela Tomislava, Zorana, Sava... Možda nam ne bi bilo bolje, možda ni njihovim naslednicima javno izgovorena reč ne bi predstavljala nikakvu obavezu, ali bar ne bismo iste fraze slušali od istih ljudi. Predugo to traje.

This has already been talked about and explained you just don't want to admit certain things. Mijailovic over Matic was a mistake, Radovanovic over Kuzmanovic happened because Kuzmanovic was injured. Darko Lazovic wasn't selected over Jankovic, but over Tadic. Stevanovic and Ninkovic play different positions while so do M.Scepovic and Jovanovic, although Jovanovic could technically play as a CF, just I don't see him succeeding there. Either way, M.Scepovic was selected over Djordjevic.

- wasted the first few precious friendly games on "trying out" players and formations. At a time when a kid on the street could have told you what needed to be the core of our team.

- tried to play the patriotic card but at the same time, soon after becoming NT manager, goes out and says how it's his dream and ambition to coach in Italy. I actually have a passionate Grobar friend who hates all Zvezda players but for some reason likes Miha..We had arguments about Miha from the beginning and whether he should be NT manager, this guy was supporting him 100%. I remember the next day after Miha's statement about his dreams and ambitions, my friend was pissed off, changed his attitude by 180 degrees and since that day has wanted the clown out roud:

- Continues making dubious selections even in official qualifiers, first one that comes to mind was Mijailovic against Scotland

- Even though it's obvious he's coaching Serbia just as a stepping stone for Italy, he brings in "patriotic" rules that in the end makes us lose Ljajic

- After the Belgium game, he shows how small of a person he is by hanging Ivanovic and Kolarov out in the press and blaming them for the loss, at the same time bringing team morale to an all-time low

- The previous actions, along with his magnificent move to bench Ivanovic and replace him with Tomovic against Macedonia, sees us play like sh!t and lose the game with Tomovic being at fault for a penalty and getting a red card!

- We lose Matic because of his previously mentioned dubious selections

- Regarding Matic, makes one of the most idiotic statements from a Serbian coach (and that's a major achievement) how we have "better players in that position, that fit into his system" :howler:

- The Croatia game, basically our one last real chance to get back in, he turns into his own entertainment and circus, creating a bet with reporters that the one that guesses the starting 11 will get a free dinner. Of course, he couldn't let that happen, so he plays a team that nobody normal would even dream of..Stevanovic, Radovanovic, Marko Scepovic..Of course, we lose.

- Leads us in one of our most disastrous qualifying campaigns ever, never before has our NT lost any real chance of qualifying so early in the campaign!


- Acts as the boss of Serbian football, threatening that no more games will be played in Belgrade, if he demands so

- Towards the end, he blackmails FSS saying he'll only stay if Tole stays. WTF? I thought you were "proud" to be manager and wanted to continue down this path of success? :howler: What we really do know, i sthat the moment he got his first call from Italy, it was all done. Regardless of Tole.

- In his final press conference in Belgrade, he emphasises how he's leaving because he couldn't get a guarantee from Tole he'd remain the president of FSS. The next day in Genoa, at his first press conference for Sampdoria, he says he rejected a 2.5 year extension with Serbia "out of respect of the years he spent as a player in Sampdoria" :howler: :howler:

Ahh, its been a while since you've made your emotional posts in which you exaggerate and bullshit. Can't say I've missed them though. Miha never said that qualifying for the WC is not important. That's what Tole was saying, but at this point even he had somewhat of a point. It's better to blow things up then to make it to a tournament only to get embarrassed. Miha has now set us up for the next campaign in that our youngsters have much more experience, not to mention a good foundation with the NT, having now played with each other.

Every coach will experiment in friendly games, never mind their first few. Nothing wrong with that. Miha also established his core group of players from the get-go, and those included the likes of Djuricic, Nastasic, and Markovic - pretty much all of whom others didn't think were ready yet for the big step up to international football. With patience and continuity, Miha gave these kids confidence, but it doesn't happen over night. Unfortunately, it's becoming more and more obvious that you don't have a clue about development.

Miha wanted our players to feel more passion for the NT, what's wrong with that? Haven't we all wanted that from them? Also, saying it's his tream to coach in Italy doesn't mean he's any less of a patriot. You think it does? Serie A is one of the biggest leagues in the world, and Miha spent the majority of his career there, where he learned his trade. Nothing wrong with the guy being honest about wanting to coach there, much like Djukic has said before that he wanted to coach in Spain. Doesn't make him any less of a patriot either. What a silly thing for you to say. alm:

Mijailovic against Scotland and Belgium, Stevanovic against Croatia? What about the other games? What was dubious about his selections against Wales in Novi Sad or against Croatia in Belgrade? No, this is incorrect. Ljajic's inability to follow the rules (inability to read and respect them) and inability to keep his word is what cost him a spot on the NT. Ljajic was completely disrespectful, and this wasn't the first time in his career, when one looks at what has happened to him in Italy. You guys label Miha as a nationalist when it's fitting to do so, but now "he's just coaching Serbia as a stepping stone" - I disagree. This guy cares more about Serbia than many of you think, and while he did make mistakes, he's set us up for success in the long-run, willing to sacrifice himself in the process while other puppet coaches would have played the same players like Zigic, Jovanovic, etc. while taking away time from our upcoming talents.

Probably shouldn't have called them out in the press, but he was right about what he said about Ivanovic, and I even proved it with videos and pictures. As for the team morale being an all-time low, you don't know that, so, don't pretend that you do.

Yes, that's the only reason why we played like shit. Has nothing to do with the team being young and inexperienced and struggling to come back after a gutting defeat to Belgium just a few days before. This happens all the time in sport, yet you like to dismiss it because it's easier for you to blame Miha.

We lost Matic because he quit, much like we gained him back when decided to come back. Not much a coach can/should do when a player says they don't want to be called up to the NT. Actions are louder than words. When Matic came back, Miha started him and has since started him in every game he's been able to play. Perhaps you didn't pick up on his sarcasm?

He didn't blackmail the FSS, he simply said that one of the conditions for which he would stay would be that the Savez could guarantee that they were going to stick around since he didn't want to put in a situation where he'd be working for people he didn't know/like/respect. What's wrong with that? He's not blackmailing them by saying he wants them to stay - but it seems you don't even understand the term.

Finally, how do you know he didn't get other calls from Italy? Who's to say he didn't reject them because he was the NT coach? Don't act like you know things for sure when you clearly don't. This is what all your posts about Miha are like - you just assume things and then claim that they are truths when you have no proof that they are. Many times you are later proven wrong, much like how you were harping on about Ivanovic telling off Miha - something that was later confirmed to have never have happened - or Kuzmanovic quitting the team - which also didn't happen. You're hate for Miha is clear, and you're inability to think rationally, and be impartial is also clear. It's a shame, especially since someone like yourself won't admit that his team has started to play good football and get results, and should continue to do so if and when the next coach continues with more or less the same team Miha built.

It's well known that Jankovic favoured in the FSS and it wouldn't surprise me. Point is the names that are being mentioned.

Besides it's not as if I want him out just because of that.

Let's see:

1. Missed 3/4 major tournaments

2. Club football never been worse

3. No plan at youth level, hiring Bata Djora to lead U17s

4. His connections with Partizan and what that has lead to

5. Stealing money from the Stara Pazova project...which wasn't his project in the first place anyway.


What has he actually done? Or are you going to start defending him now that Miha has gone?

Simple things like if Matic sitting on the bench for Mijailovic, Marko Scepovic is pushed into the NT without any reason, or Maksimovic and Trajkovic are choosen before a Ligue 1 captain (Pejcinovic), makes it clear for me that we are dealing with an idiot or a criminal.

Some of Mihajlovic's actions can not be justified or explained.
