Who says there are no shocks in the Scottish cup? Inverness
Caley Thistle pulled off a great result yesterday by sending
Hearts tumbling out of the competition with a 3-1 win in the
capital. The Hearts defence may have been without Steven Pressley and Kevin McKenna but this was still a result which
will not have pleased their fans. ICT have been rewarded with an away match to Dundee or Partick Thistle which gives them a real chance of reaching the semi-finals. Dundee who for the second time in a row have only managed a draw with first division opposition are quickly heading for a fixture pile up which could severely damage their chances of a top 6 finish.

Another success story for Ayr Utd with a 3-0 victory over Dunfermline who prior to last weeks defeat to Rangers were arguably the form team in Scotland, and in particular their defence had been watertight. Ayr will now face Dundee Utd or Hamilton.

Forfar pulled off a slightly smaller shock by winning at Clyde (typically their winner was scored by a former Clyde player)and as a reward they will host Rangers hoping to do the same as Berwick and take the tie back to Ibrox for a huge payday. It's often rumoured that in these matches the smaller clubs players are on a decent bonus for victory and a really huge bonus for a draw!!
