The matches are coming thick and fast.

Thursday night will see us travel to Spain to play the current Europa League holders. The match will be damage limitation for us due to the vast number of important players we have who are suspended for this match.

We are without Hulk, Danny, Criscito and Smolnykov.

Injured - Fazyulin

Seville held Barcelona, arguably the best or one of the best 3 teams in the World to a 2-2 draw last night coming back from 2-0 down, they have not tasted defeat at home in over 14 months.

We won this Cup back in 2008 under it's former guise of the UEFA Cup and AVB won this Cup back in 2010 with FC Porto.

Some good news, Witsel sat out our match today via suspension and AVB rotated Shatov and Garay to the Bench giving them both around 20 minutes each. The 3 of them will be fresh and rested for this one.

Good result? Defeat by no more than 1 goal with an away goal.

Line up?

Not sure how they are going to line up but possibly something like this -

Lodygin
Anyukov
Garay
Neto
Lombaerts
Witsel
Garcia
Shatov
Ryazantsev
Tymoschuk
Rondon

Witsel had a cameo appearance as an attacking midfielder behind Hulk in the last 10-15 minutes of the match v CSKA Morecambe and he looked really good, I was surprised how strong and how good he was in the dribble. I can see him playing just behind Rondon with Garcia and Tymo being 2 defensive midfielders. Lombaerts has played as a left back before but we might play 3 Centre backs and have a wing back system in operation.

Other line up options - Mogalivets instead of Tymo. Arshavin instead of Tymo or Ryazanstev but since I can't remember Arshavin playing a single minute this year, he might of but I can't remember, this is doubtful. Likewise, Kerzhakov starting up front with Rondon in a 2 man attack would seem unlikely although Kerz looked really bright in his first bit of game time for us today in something like half a year!

Let's do this!

I don't know how big our ticket allocation is, I only noticed it when it was down to just over 600 tickets left.

We have 484 tickets left at this very moment.

We all know we have our most famous supporter and his portable Zoo in attendance for this one. Yours truly Kleber Ferreira Alfonsa Da Silva aged 64 from Faro - Algarve - Portugal.

Kleber left his Portugese Trailer in the Algarve for Seville at 3am this morning for the 2000km round trip from Faro along the dusty sandy back roads and motorways, he will make his way to Portugal from Spain. He will of course be accompanied by the usual suspects, his Pet Donkey Miguel, his Pet Alsatian Dog Bukha and of course his Pet Parrot Fazyuli who will be perched on his Shoulder.

Kleber will tie all his pets up near the corner flag before beating his Chest like Tarzan and roaring his support like a Lion for Zenit.

He has Zenit Duvet, Zenit slippers, Zenit pyjamas, Zenit toilet paper, hell he even craps Blue and White.

Our number 1 fan in the entire World.

the 11 seems obvious.

pretty defensive one with timochuk and javi in the middle and you don't see nothing going forward from the right and left back.

i would start kerzhakov instead of rondon since zenit will play in counter attack.

on other hand maybe without danny and hulk the team will defend better.

Match day!

Do we see any other line up than?

Lodygin
Anyukov
Garay
Neto
Lombaerts
Witsel
Garcia
Shatov
Ryazantsev
Tymoschuk
Rondon

I'm going for Lombaerts being left back, Garay and Neto CB and Anyukov RB instead of a possible back 5 which includes Shatov too. Do we see anyway AVB includes either Mogilvets, Arshavin or Kerz from the start? Combined playing time for the 3 in the last 6 months is probably less than 1 hour!

The match is being shown in 143 countries, strangely, England has 3 matches on tonight, Wolfsburg v Napoli, Brugge v Dnipro and Kiev v Fiorentina but not Zenit, WTF?

Let's do this Zenit!

Seville are undefeated in 32 home matches, Barcelona, Atletico Madrid and Real Madrid have all failed to win.

There will also be extra motivation for the Seville manager Emery, the last time he coached a team against Zenit he lost 5-0! Zenit thrashed Spartak Moscow 5-0.

3 amazing bits of actions -

The penalty save from Malafeev
The tackle by Criscito stopping a certain goal after the Penalty save
Shirokov's amazing 3rd goal

Well Khodzha was at the press conference with AVB so unless AVB is trolling...

And if a CB will play FB it will certainly be Neto, not Lombaerts.

Shatov looks a beast out there.

Best player on the pitch on either time by a mile.
