60 times serie B for Brescia, who are the club who took part in the biggest amount of serie B championships. Hellas Verona are second with 52 but will be in serie A in 2017/2018. Third is Modena (50) now in Lega Pro, then Bari (46) and Palermo (43).
All the three clubs who gained the direct promotion to serie B have a pretty strong tradition in serie B: Venezia (33), Cremonese (26) and Foggia (23).
Foggia have bene absent from serie B for 19 seasons in a row.
Out of the clubs who participate in the playoffs for promotion to serie B three have a pretty strong tradition in serie B (Alessandria, Parma and Reggiana), while Pordenone have never been in serie B before. Alessandria, ProVercelli and Novara playing together in serie B happened in 1937/38 the last time (and might not happen in this season either).
It's an interesting trend for Piemonte and Liguria anyway. For more than 30 seasons no club from those regioni could manage to reach serie B but now we have 2 clubs from Piemonte and 2 from Liguria, who managed to stay in serie B. And Alessandria might join them.
In the meanwhile we have the "crisis" of clubs from the neighbours of Lombardia who used to have a strong tradition in serie B such as Monza, Varese and Como.
It had also been a long while since we had just 1 club in serie A (Fiorentina) and 1 in serie B (Empoli) for Toscana, due to the absence of Arezzo, Livorno, Pisa and Siena.

Parma returns to serie B. Congratulations.
In the next season I would not be surprised if three club who got promoted to serie B in this season managed to be promoted to serie A (Venezia, Parma and Foggia).

so here is the next serie B

Ascoli
Avellino
Bari
Brescia
Carpi
Cesena
Cittadella
Cremonese - promoted from Lega Pro girone A
Empoli - relegated from serie A
Foggia - promoted from Lega Pro girone C
Frosinone
Novara
Palermo - relegated from serie A
Parma - promoted from Lega Pro after playoffs
Perugia
Pescara - relegated from serie A
Pro Vercelli
Salernitana
Spezia
Ternana
Venezia - promoted from Lega Pro girone B
Virtus Entella

It's a very high quality serie B. I mean, it is not the serie B of 2006/2007 :lala: but there are many clubs with good tradition in serie A and not just serie B.

Serie B is incredibly even this season, the last place team is just 10 points behind the leaders. In Serie A the difference is 26 points - with less games played.

I just made the calculation, one of 3-3, 3-2, 2-3, 4-2 and 2-4 generally occurs in football just over six percent of the time. So one would expect it to take about 350 matches to get the 21 of those results you listed. 168 games have been played so far this season. Definitely suspicious.

Then again Serie B is hardly known for its integrity.

I add fuel to the fire: the one team you'd expect to make that kind of scores, Zeman's Pescara, appears in just 2 games (yeah, I forgot Perugia-Pescara 4-2) and haven't had one of those scores in 2 months.

Never bet on serie B, their second name is unpredictable.

Brescia - Parma 2-1
Cremonese - Pro Vercelli 2-3
Salernitana - Carpi 1-2
Novara - Ascoli 1-2

How many did you have correct?
1? Well, not bad, I had 0 correct
2? Impressive!
3? Really?
4? Ok, your sources have to be excellent, could you tell your sources to give me the correct results of the next week?

Empoli return to serie A. Their chairman Corsi commented: "Our celebrations were moderate. We are not Napoli".

Seven more club fight for the remaining two spots, a direct promotion and a promotion through playoffs

Parma and Palermo 63
Frosinone 62
Venezia and Bari 60
Cittadella and Perugia 58

I hope Venezia make it because of Pippo, lovely story. And Parma for old times sake.

Crazy return to serie A for Parma who won at La Spezia, but above all must thank Foggia for equalizing at Frosinone at minute 89.

Frosinone, Palermo, Venezia, Bari, Cittadella and Perugia will fight for the remaining spot.

Frosinone threw their automatic promotion away, although Foggia's late equaliser was a beautful goal.

I wonder how that will affect Frosinone for the playoffs.

I guess most people prefer to have Palermo back in A, but Frosinone has a really nice stadium, I wouldn't mind them getting promoted.
