After a very disappointing at home to Genoa which most fans will blame on Carlo Ancelotti, Milan will travel to one of their more "favorite" teams, Lazio, a team that Milan almost always beat, and comfortably at that.

For Milan, Beckham is supposedly injured so hopefully we will see Seedorf return to midfield and Ronaldinho taking his spot in attack, or even better let Shevchenko start alongside Pato with Kaka behind. In my opinion, Ambrosini was terrifyingly poor vs Genoa and I would drop him for Flamini, but thats never going to happen.

Lazio are coming off a 3-1 loss away to Sampdoria so they will even have more motivation to beat us after getting trashed earlier in the season. Last weekend they also lost 4-1 to Cagliari, but none of this matters. Obviously their key men will be Mauro Zarate, Goran Pandev and Tomasso Rocchi. Keep in mind also that Lazio have already beaten us this season, in the Coppa Italia.

Form:

Milan - WDWWD
Lazio - WWDLL

FORZA MILAN!

I hope to see R80 (is that his number :D) in this one
I agree on your Flamini comment, he should play over Ambrosini.
We should have Bonera back for this one I think, and I hope he takes over Favalli. Its crazy to believe he has played so many games for us for 2 seasons now, he's had a few good games and is not as bad as people say he is but really, he should have no business playing in our backline. I would like to see Antonini, and if not him , Mattioni.
Pato, our best player by far even with the 100 million pound CL winning brazuca crusading angel, will be instrumental and he links up well with Ronaldinho so I hope we get to see both up them upfront.

I sure wish we would have Gattuso for this one, its pretty clear that Zarate will just run at will and our game will depend on either outscoring lazio by a goal or Pato having a blinder or a combination of both.

Sack Jani and Ancelotti, enough is enought, both are only good for UEFA cup qualification...

I felt we would draw the last one and I feel we'll draw this one as well :D

Let's get some more consistency from Kaka' who I feel plays 2-3 bad matches for every good one he has. It worries me that he's nowhere near as explosive as he used to be.

Would like to see a midfield of Pirlo, Beckham and Flamini (if the Englishman is fit) and Kaka' with Pato and Sheva/Pippo. But I guess both Flamini and two strikers is wishful thinking.

I feel this would be a draw, but then again, I felt we would win the last one.
True, I think it will be a draw, too... and there will be the -10 pts, just with one day in delay.

Anyway, I did a mistake from the first matchday... I counted in -pts to the first spot. I should have learned from the last two seasons and count the +/- pts from the CL spots... +4 reg. direct qualification, +5 for the 4th spot. Not too shabby for a team without defense and only one valid striker in the roster.

Flamini is going to miss this game since he got a yellow against Genoa.

I don't think Pirlo or Maldini got a yellow or did they?

gazzetta says paolo is OUT

squalificati Maldini (il migliore in difesa contro il Genoa) e Flamini; senza, Nesta, Kaladze, Bonera, Gattuso

seems like we are bound to play Senderos-Favali ... :(:(:(

Oh yes didn't Maldini got a yellow at the end of the game? Damn he was so good yesterday as well. Senderos-Favalli against Lazio? :scared:

Is there any chance of Bonera coming back?

:nono: This could prove to be fate-tempting.

You've been warned.

Osman went on about how laughable Udinese are prior to their match..and look what happened.

Yep, but I had 3 months of utterly crap Udinese to base it on, oh well :D

But yeah, I mean, playing against Lazio is THE last team you should be pessimistic against. You allways pounce on them in the league, no matter what. Dont see that changing.

P.S How the heck do you know what I said in the Juve forum? :err: You are supposed to be blocked from there :nono:

I'm sorry jani, but if Dae started the Genoa match thread both those Pirlo freekicks would have gone in off the underside of the crossbar.

:proud: I am not growing a cult following. Pretty soon you see in the subways graffiti reading "Dae lives".

As for the game, I am not sure I want Shev up front with Pato. I know we are all in love with the two forwards thing, but it needs to be two good forwards. Only Pato and Borriello has done anything positive. As I have said many times, I'd love to see Dinho support Pato with Kaka in hte hole. Seedorf, Ambro/Flamini and Pirlo can support them.

I don't mind seeing Favalli but please put him in the center pairing. He is actually quite decent there while on the flanks he adds very little to the attack, although his defense is still pretty good.

I was democratically elected to replace you after YOU resigned like a coward bowing down to a little bit of pressure :scared::D

Anyway, I think Sheva has done quite some bit in the friendlies he has played so far and sort of deserves to start. And I don't think we've seen Beckham's crosses being utilized by two forwards, have we?

About Favalli on the flanks, I have to say he is almost useless, even defensively. He is decent in the middle because his lack of pace cannot be exploited by the opposing attack. Its a different case when he is on the left, wingers past him like no one is there. Not saying Janks is any better.. but you get what I mean.

Ideally for this game, a completely fantasy scenario:

Abbiati

Zambrotta-Bonera-Favalli-Antonini

Beckham-Pirlo-Jankulovski

Kaka

Shevchenko-Pato

Thats not half bad, is it?
