After one big game, comes another. Inter looked as bad as us last night, but there is no doubt they will beat us here. 1-0 or 2-0.

Anyway I hope we just show up and play some damn football, unlike we always seem to fail to do when we play in England. My team would be:

Doni; Motta, Mexes, Juan, Tonetto; Perrotta, De Rossi, Brighi; Pizarro; Totti, Vucinic.

I had the displeasure of watching Inter-ManU on Tues., and what a dreadful match. Inter looked the worst I've seen them in years, which means they'll play great against us, of course. Seriously, I have never seen Maicon, Adriano, Ibra and co. look so pathetic, especially in the first half. But Julio Cesar is probably better than Gigi right now. What a GK.

You should watch Inter more, they usually play like that or even worse (long balls to nowhere etc), but grind a win with a couple of decisive moments of Maicon and Zlatan (and Stankovic popping out of nowhere). But Man U is one of the top few quality teams in the sport that requires 3 times of that level to win over them, naturally.

When Inter beat us earlier this season it was incredible, yes they were better than us, but many of their goals were spectacular... and this is what they can do. They rely on individual moments rather than playing beautiful football. I think we can try to get a good result here. I am unsure if Inter's heads will be focused.

I don't think we have a poor bench overall, but in GKs and CBs I will agree with you. I think we either have the worst doctors/trainers in the world or most of our players are ridiculously fragile.

Doni - Artur and Julio Sergio...poor.
Mexes and Juan - Panucci, Diamoutene, and Loria....poor.
Cicinho and Riise - Motta (who should be 100% starter), Cassetti, and Tonetto...good.
De Rossi, Brighi, and Perrotta - Aquilani, Pizarro, and Taddei.....very good.
Totti, Vucinic, and Baptista - Menez and Montella.....good but we need another FW.

I dont care much about Inter's game , i dont think we can win so i dont want any risk with a player not fit enough, i know it is important game for the qualification of CL but maybe we can win easier games, i only care about Arsenal game i dont know why i still believe we can overcome Arsenal.
About the forwards
Totti: Injury hitting him this season
Vucinic : good
Menez:fragile
Montella: finito
Baptista:cant play as a forward anymore ,he can only play with Totti and Vuci together but as a striker he isnt good enough.
so i think we need a striker more atleast.
defence:we have only Mexes and Juan ,we need new defenders

The weak physical condition of our players is inevitable when you consider the excuse of a pre-season we had, e.g. last team to return back, few friendles treated very lightly leading to some serious trashings, woefully inadequate physical conditioning.

I don't know what Spalletti must have been thinking.

Aquilani and Menez are always injured and its extremely frustrating as its every single year with these guys. Aquilani hasn't had a full season since 2005/06. I believe Menez had a history of injury problems at Monaco as well. Perhaps these guys should seek specialists and perform different training programs especially in the offseason.

I disagree on everything other than goal keeping and defense.
we don't have any quality left backs on our squad, so we're far from good.
Perrotta is finished, Aquilani is always injured, Taddei is finished and we have no true replacement for De Rossi (Brighi is good and proved himself enough to earn a starting position but he's not an anchor). without depth and any width options we are no where near very good in midfield.
Totti is losing it, sad but understandably true considering all of his injuries, Baptista blows hot and cold as a striker and is useless as an attacking midfielder, Montella is finished and Menez is still unproven and isn't a striker anyway. again, far away from good.

Totti out may be a good thing at least for the CL tie with Arsenal. He should rest until he is ready. Perrotta out for 2 months isnt terrible news as long as Aquilani remains fit.
