A bit of a rant but....
Went to switch on the Czech game last week, ive been a SKY Sports subscriber for years now and was a bit miffed to find it on Sentanta. As it turned out, I didnt miss much but was then horrified to find out that half the qualifiers are on Sentanta with the other half on BBC with the Victory Shield on Sky Sports.
To rub the salt in the wounds, I also then find out that the U21's game is on Sentanta and im yet to find out what other NT games I may end up missing.
This has got my goat a bit as although im all up for competition between broadcasters, I think its unreasonable to split English NT games at all levels between 2 subscription channels as it hits the consumer in the pocket if you want to watch all English NT games (£14 registration charge with Sentanta + £12 per month + Sky subscription) which imo, is not a good deal for the consumer.
I have also heard that Sentanta coverage is at best cr*p, with transmission during games sometimes being lost or at best, unrecognisable.
Is anyone else pi$$ed at this or am I being unreasonable? Is it acceptable to expect people to pay twice to watch games that imo should be free to consumers? Should I just put my hand in my pocket again to watch England play sh*te on TV???:frustrat:
