For several years now Marcos Senna has been one of the most consistent performers at Villarreal and has attracted attention from many of Europes elite players but has so far decided to stay.

Inlight of his performances in 2008 he has been nominated for FIFA player of the year and although he has a tiny chance of winning it or even making the shortlist it is still good to see that he is getting the recognition he deserves

It's great he made the list. He was fantastic in euro 08, and a consistent performer for Villarrreal. A pity he isnt going to be amongst the top candidates, he really doesnt get the recognition he deserves IMO... Even though I think Xavi was better at the Euro 08's, Senna came very close second to me.
