One of the most difficult seasons in the history of Israeli soccer has ended last night with Avi Nimni's penalty kick. A season with scandals and headlines mainly off the pitch, and a small light at the end of the tunnel in Hapoel Tel Aviv's european triumph.

I'll start off by showing the final standings of the top 3 divisions, just in case, and from there on we'll probably continue with polls to pick the best players, moment, worst scandal and etc. just like we did last season. :)

Raful you can put Tzafon Bet as well, even though it was not fully completed there is no possibility that the relegated and promoted teams will change.

Mr. Statistics does not have that info? I don't recall Refua playing in the NT, maybe he was in a friendly or two.

This is not the first top scorer Maccabi Petah Tikva produces, but I think that I'll keep that issue for a chain question.

1. Refua didn't do his military service and thus is not eligible to play for the National team.

2. It's a shame to see past names like Hapoel Lod getting relegated to Liga Bet... Weren't they on the Artzit (what we call today Leumit) only a few years ago??

3. A team named Hapoel Aliyah Kfar Saba got relegated, ironically, and I noticed Yoav's hometown Maale Adumim were relegated as well. :(

4. Searched for the Liga Gimel standings but couldn't find it. All I found was results from the final round.

And the very clear winner of our first end of the season poll is Shavit Elimelech with 4 votes, ahead of Awatt with one vote only.

So Shavit Elimelech, who stopped the likes of Chelsea, Parma and Ahi Nazrath (;)) is our forum's goalkeeper of the season. Hope he will finally get his shot at the national team now that Grant is in charge.

Sorry for being tad late, but here are the results of the other polls:

:star: Ilan Bachar has been elected as the best right-back last season:

http://www.xtratime.com/forums/showthread.php?threadid=78995

:star: Adoram Keisi surpassed Antebi in the leftback poll:

http://www.xtratime.com/forums/showthread.php?threadid=78564 keisi

:star: Yossi Abuksis dominated the midfielder poll, mainly due to Hapoel's UEFA Cup triumph:

abuksis

:star: And Shimon Gershon is the best centre back according to our poll :

I'll set-up the coach, players abroad, striker and event of the year polls very soon so we can finally finish with last season and prepare for the next one. :)

Striker of the year award goes to Yakubu who scored 12 league goals, leading Maccabi Haifa towards the title. Most memorable ones were his 2 goals against Hapoel Tel Aviv, I guess. ;)

http://www.xtratime.com/forums/showthread.php?threadid=80719

Yet another award goes for Hapoel, this time Kashtan wins it, most or only because his success with Hapoel Ketter Plastic in Europe.

http://www.xtratime.com/forums/showthread.php?threadid=80720

Most memorable event has been Hapoel's success in the UEFA Cup...this has been a freaky year with some horrible events and memories, yet, this one event was really unusual...

http://www.xtratime.com/forums/showthread.php?threadid=81308

And finally, Revivo was elected as our best guy abroad last season after a close poll where Berkovic came second with only one less vote.

http://www.xtratime.com/forums/showthread.php?threadid=81309

That's it I guess, not a season I would love to remember personally but we can finally move on and start with our polls for next season perhaps. If you've got any ideas, just give me or Hrevivo a call. :)
