Saviola and Barca through to the Semi

Our wonder boy played a high performance match today in the CL, as he set up the 1st goal for Luis and scored the third goal after going one to one with the GK. He had good touchs with the ball and good short passes with Rivaldo.
Also he missed one goal after his shot hit the bar... but if he passed it to Luis or Rivo, it would end by 4-1.

Bonano got injured:(

Saviola should be going to the WC instead of Cannigia especially given his amazing play against some of the best defenders. Sneaks by like Frodo in Lord of the Rings. So unfortunate for Bonano.
it was a great match, and saviola played really well as B9 has said.
btw, bayer leverkusen beat liverpool 4-2 in a breath taking match. pretty similar to what happened in nou camp.
Saviola was exceptional today. He's had a good season, hope Bielsa takes him to the WC.
Just noticied that Saviola has now scored 17 goals in all competitions for Barca this season. The season isn't over and his goal tally is impressive however considering that Saviola hasn't really figured in too many away games that Barca play, his goal tally is really remarkable. What a talent, what a player!!!!!!!!!
Saviola is having a great season at Barca, hope Bielsa takes him to the WC,but he's fighting for a place with Caniggia and Cruz...

looks tough for el conejito.
We are already champions

With Bayern and Liverpool out of the picture, it is certain that at least one Argentine player, if not two is going to win the Champions League this years. That's even better when you see that all of them are usual starters. Some like Solari and Saviola after a big struggle.
The strange thing is that Verón is the only usual starter for the NT and that the other 4 have not even secured a place in the 23, and it's likely that they won't be in Korea/Japan.
Anyway, congratulations to Verón or Solari or Placente or Saviola and Bonano for winning the CL!!!!
Good one ambidia;)
its interesting that we haven't seen the doomday types that saviola was too young and inexperienced to play in europe. Where are those people? I could mention their names, but I won't since I am such a nice guy.

I think saviola is a very important player for us, and I think his performance considering the change, and the personal tragedy that happened is very very good. I hope the fans will continue to support him if, as many other players, he has a sophomore slump.

Rexach has done many things wrong, but he has done perfectly with saviola.. bringing him along at the perfect pace, as to not put too much pressure, while still giving him experience. Very very few players have made the leap that saviola has... even ronaldo did not make such a big leap as Barc,a is a bigger club than PSV.
Saviola just scored two great goals, every one should watch them.
Saviola scored 2 goals for Barca today, he's on fire...Bielsa-..........
With the exception of Manchester United, which only has Veron, the other semifinalists actually have a number of South Americans playing for them: Saviola, Rivaldo, Geovanni, Rochemback, and Bonano, with Barçelona; Ze Roberto, Placente, and Lucio, with Bayer Leverkusen; and Solari, Conceição, Savio, and Roberto Carlos, - and Cambiasso, were he not on loan with River Plate - with Real Madrid.
In replace of Bati. Bilesa has called up Saviola for the match against Germany.

saviola is playing great. i have to admit that i didnt expect so many goals and good performances, since this was his first season in a new and more difficult league, with a lot of pressure (remember some newspaper like mundo deportivo called him the new maradona) and above all other things, his father s death.
this little guy has some personality. im really happy for him (even though he is river plate s material)
