Yugoslav striker Radoslav Samardzic has returned to Heerenveen on a one-year contract following a troubled spell with Dutch first division rivals Feyenoord.

Samardzic left Heerenveen to join the Rotterdam giants in 1999 and played 14 games in his first season at the De Kuip Stadium.

However, he soon found himself on the bench and in the summer of 2000 he was suspended from the squad altogether for failing to report for a reserve team match.

He was allowed to join RKC Waalwijk on loan but failed to make an impact during 16 games for the club and returned to Feyenoord.

The 31-year-old, who has not played a competitive match since February, will be hoping for a change in fortunes at Heerenveen as he looks to resurrect his career.

In his previous spell at the club he scored 24 goals in 65 games having previously starred for Vojvodina Novi Sad and FC Volendam.

This guy sounds familiar, but for some reason I can't remember who the hell he is :D
