Since the offseason has begun, might as well start up this thread (again).

So, big things have happeneed. The MaGoofs are out Vivek "Savior" Ranadive in. Geoff Petrie out, Pete D'Allesandro in. Keith (Notso)Smart out, Mike Malone in. A completely new assistant coaching staff has joined the team, as well.

PDA (Pete D.) is a great choice from the list of candidates we had. He is very passionate, has had experience as an assistant GM, and is great with the salary cap, perfect for a small market team like the Kings.

Malone is the perfect coach for us right now, he is known for turning around defenses everywhere he has gone. I am confident he'll do the same here, and we have badly needed a great defensive coach for a long, long time.

In other news, Cousins wants a max extension, and I think he'll get it as the new ownership and front office has emphasized he is our cornerstone. I also want him too get the max deal just because how often will the Kings have a potential superstar on their hands?

Big things to come in Sacramento guys, big things. :)

So we got lucky in the draft as SG Ben McLemore slipped to us at number seven. Some people think this spells the end of Tyreke's time here in Sacramento, but I think it is only the beginning of a great back court. Evans at the point with McLemore at the two. They complement each other VERY well. Evans is a very good defender and can become great, same goes with McLemore. Now we just need to get rid some of the extra guards we have.

You will have to get a SF who can facilitate and take some of the playmaking responsibilities if you want Tyreke-McLemore to work (atleast as far as being able to win, not their personal stats)

I think you guys should have taken Kantevious Caldwell-Pope with your pick. I think he is and will be the better player then McLemore, who's good too but I don't see him becoming an All-Star.

Although it's a slim chance, we are chasing Igoudala (meeting with him today) so if we were lucky enough to get him, he'd be perfect in terms of helping our defense, and being a "point forward" type of player at times.

Coming into the draft I didn't know much about KCP, and still don't, but McLemore (I think) was chosen just to give Tyreke a shooter/floor spreader to go along with him in the back court. I also don't see McLemore becoming an All-Star either, but I don't think he needs to be on a team with Demarcus Cousins and Tyreke, I think he'll turn out to be a high-level support player.

No big deal, just move to Seattle.

Now that Microsoft has reversed its policies, you have nothing to worry about while waiting for your super high speed internet to be set up there. :shades:

Leave Sac alone you bullies :D

Anyways lets update the depth chart for Sac's optimistic delight.

C= Cousins/Aldrich
PF= Thompson/Landry
SF= Johnson/Outlaw
SG= McLemore/Thornton
PG= Vasquez/Thomas

You guys could get Iguodala you'd get a ton of shooters.

You guys should play a very fast game. Utilize that athleticism.

The West is still congested. Two or three teams will have their hearts broken once again. Hopefully it will not be the Kings this time lol.

I think Cousins will have a breakout year. We got Vasquez who is a pass first PG that can make player better around him. Too bad Iggy is gone, but maybe we can still sign Kirlienko.

Can't judge until more trades arrive, and they will.

Overall it's 'meh' - He's overpaid(should be full MLE guy, 5mil) - but it's not a crazy overpay to get really railed up on.

There's a clear logjam in the PF position, so after more trades are done this can be judged.
