OUr club has been linked to Dudu Awat, the Israeli national team keeper and star of Maccabi Haifa.

I have never seen this guy play, so could someone will me in about him?:)

How good is he exactly? And what about his age?

Dudu Awatt is a very good goalkeeper.

His team is actually Hapoel Haifa, the Arch Rivals of Maccabi Haifa. What happened was that there #1 goalie for Maccabi Haifa was brutally injured in the NT game vs. Spain due to a bump by Mr. Xavi and since then he hasn't played. So what happened is that Dudu was loaned for a year or so to Maccabi Haifa where he won the championchip. Formally he has been sensational in net and i think that he shows great ability when he is under fire...

So anyways, since the #1 Goalie for Maccabi Haifa has rehibilitated, Dudu is set to come back to Hapoel Haifa, but Hapoel Haifa has been Relegated from the Israeli premier leauge, so now he is looking for another team, so i doubt he will continue with Hapoel haifa now.

The person who came back from Rehbilitation is also Israel's #1 man in Goal. So now there is a Status Quo on who will be in Net, come Euro 2004. We have Davidovtich (injured), Dudu Awatt, and Shavit Elimelech (from Hapoel Tel Aviv) who might be in net.

But on any front..... Dudu has done okay for the NT.....he tied Bosnia, tied Austira, Lost horribly to Germany; though it wasn't his fault, and lost 3-1 to denmark....

Usually when its him vs. the shot he is good, but when the defense breaks down, then he gets the blame..

Also, Transbor is intrested in him and so is Ankara, so we have a 3 way circus going on.
It looks like Awatt is looking for the Price is right! ;)

THanks for the info on Awat:)

I hope we can keep Rustu of course, but if he signs with another club, I think we should be in pretty good hands with Awat and Oguz.

HOw much is Hapoel Haifa demanding for his transfer?

Im not sure what Hapoel Haifa is demanding.

I think he is a free agent or something, as for the price tag on him, im a really not sure, i a guessing somewhere in the range of a no more than 900,000 pounds maybe? But don't take my word...its can be more or it can be less..

you never know!

Anything could happen! :)

Hapoel Haifa will probably not have anything to do with the talks.

But on a 6 degree of seperation notice..

did you know that Your Rustu Recber has the exact same agent as Dudu Awatt!!!!!! Insnae! And the Agents name is Pini Zehavi..he is a specialist, top in his class worldwide...i think he does work for some NBA/MLB/NHL stars too! :)

an Israeli.....coaching the #1 man for Turkey NT...
This is amazing! ;)

Awatt was having a phone talk with Revivo this week where Haim told him not to count on Fener as it looks certain that Rustu will stay. Awatt is set to fly off to Turkey tomorrow in order to sign with Trabzonspor. Revivo promised Awatt he'll recommend to sign him next season, so if Awatt performs well for Trabzon and Rustu does leave next year, perhaps Awatt will wear the Fener shirt next year. ;)

Info? He's a very talented goalkeeper and has some good abilities, very acrobatic and steady. However he has some problem with picking up through balls as I see it, and it's been his weak point for a few years now. I'd call him the Israeli Iker Casillas as he reminds me of him. :)
