According to Italian and Spanish reports, FC Barcelona have made a sensational bid to Lazio for Hernan Crespo. It is suggested the Catalans are willing to include Patrick Kluivert in the transaction plus a cool €25m in cash.

Kluivert is a great striker, but I'm not a fan of his personality + all the mess he has caused before, mostly off the pitch. From a business POV, it sounds like a good deal, though.

My thoughts exactly, and also there is the Veron factor... if Crespo stays the chancecs of Veron coming back would be bigger but if he joins Barca JSV might end up in Barca aswell..
So- :undecide: is the perfect way to describe it..

If Barca make a formal bid it would be for either Riquelme or Veron. I don't see both of them joining Barca. Boca's ex-manager Carlos Bianchi is also on the short list to take over the managerial duties at Barca and if that's the case, we can be sure that Bianchi will look to bring Riquelme to Barca. Riquelme is also strongly linked to Atletico.

Riquelme and Athletico couldn't agree terms of what I have read, and I would expect him to come to Spain or Italy this summer.
Kulivert is a good player but Crespo is excellent, too me one of the very best. We sold him as our stupid chairman Tanzi is a money grabber. If Lazio want to aim for the title next year they need to keep Hernan

Well Kluivert is probably the most complete attacker in the world. He can score, has amazing technique, very good vision, is great in the air, not slow at all, very athletic, and usually makes just as many assists as he scores goals... I actually can't think of one single aspect of an attackers game that he lacks.

That being said, Crespo is Crespo and I always prefer to keep good players.

This is a joke! Kluivert is not in the same class as Crespo! Crespo is way better than Kluivert!
