1st of August is not too far away so I thought of opening up a thread.

Will Zenit win the title?
Will Vitinho carry CSKA to three Titles in a row?
Will Spartak actually contend for the title? / When will they sack their manager?
Will Rubin's reliance on young Russian footballers carry them or haunt them?
With the money Dynamo Moscow has been throwing around will they finally be fighting for the title
Will Lokomotiv show last season was not a fluke and they can be a main stay in the top 3?
Will Krasnodar FC continue punching hard with the world class football school they have and the Owners belief that the 2018 Russia side will be made up of Krasnodar players.
Who will be the young Russian player to have a breakout season?
How will the old powerhouse Torpedo go in the RPL for the first time in years?
How will Alenitchev and Kolyvanov go as managers in the RPL?

So many questions to ask.

This will be a very interesting season, the most excited I have been for an RPL season in years :musik:

Koryan is the only decent looking one and he won't choose to represent you lot if he's good enough. Keep hoping for scraps though :howler:

Cheers Kleber.

Who are the early title favourites?
zenit.
cska
spartak
dynamo
lokomotiv

krasnodar,kuban,rubin......rostov and terek might finnish in top 8,than the rest.

btw Vostok the 2012-13 season was most exciting than this one, with the play off's you had the big 7 with anzhi and a better rubin squad there, and the 8 th place kuban was not worst than the current one.

now you have big 5 plus krasnodar clubs and a new rubin side.

the bottom 4 this season seems the weakest in last years.

Then explain why David Martirosyan chose to play for Armenia's U17 after being the best player for Russia's U16? He's a Zenit product and he's like a mini David Silva.
Strange, I would think I would have heard of a outstanding David Silva-esque prospect if he existed at my club. Probably another Simonyan, a regular normal prospect that doesn't particularly stand out from his teammates that you guys start hyping for the sole reason of being eligible for Armenia.

The fact that your guys' hopes for future relevance lies in the Russian youth development system that constantly ruins talents is truly sad. At least WE have the quantity of prospects to overpower it.

Good work Kleber, that trash level of bantertrolling has no level in this place. If you're going to troll, keep it to football related matters.

Kleber is the admin because he's the most subtle at trolling. You are the furthest from that. At least stop it with the caps lock.

If Simonyan stands out so much then why were other youth players his age and younger called up to go to Zenit's current training camp in Austria and he wasn't?

Youngsters rarely get a chance in Russia period, regardless of nationality. Look at Davydov at Spartak, the kid has more talent in his left ballsack than all your Armenian youths put together, and he has one 5 minute cameo for the senior team to show for it.

Pronichev scored double digit goals for Hertha u17s, whoopty doo. Doesn't mean shit.

And Davydov was linked with Real Madrid a few months ago, for what it's worth. He has 3 goals in 2 games for Spartak 2 so far this season. Maybe if he keeps dominating they'll be shamed into playing him for the senior team. But they're a horrible organization so they probably won't.

You can dominate at youth levels thanks to strength or speed, etc that won't be transferrable to a senior level. Goal scoring numbers aren't that useful alone. I hype Davydov because I've actually seen him play. He has all the skills needed to succeed.

And I for one never considered Cheryshev to be some sort of world class talent. The mythical Real Madrid allure does nothing for me. Sure he was one of the better players for our youth teams but it's not like he was anywhere near to being head and shoulders above the rest.
