Rotating houllier warns dissenters

Liverpool boss Gerard Houllier has hit back at the club’s dissenting stars saying that they are “free to leave” if they are unhappy with his planned rotation policy.
Houllier has stated that he wants a full squad of top-class internationals to challenge the likes of Manchester United, Arsenal and Leeds in next season’s premiership.

Liverpool missed out on Champions League football this season by two points after an ineffectual finish to the campaign, which saw them fail to score in their final five games.
And their French manager believes that an increased pool of players will create the competition for places that the Anfield club needs to continue its recent progress.
Houllier said: “We need around 22 top-quality players and clearly they cannot all be in the starting line-up at the same time.
“Some might object to that. If they do, the solution will be simple enough - they will be allowed to leave. Not all English players seem to understand the need to rotate.”
The statement was clearly aimed at the likes of Jamie Redknapp, Michael Owen and Robbie Fowler, who are all said to be unhappy with the prospect of missing games next season.
However, Houllier went on to explain the protective rationale behind his desire to rotate his star players, using Michael Owen as an example.
He said: “Michael claimed recently he could rest when he was 40. But he will be finished a long time before that time if he does not have a breather every now and then.

Is this the signal that other clubs need to come in with bids for Fowler and Redknapp?

actually i'm with GH...if u look at mancs..players like solksjaer , butt, scholes..etc have been on the bench most of the time...

we may have a big squad right now...but if they all want to leave and don't accept the rotation system.,..it's better for them to leave then..

anyway now there's a new rumour linking redders to spurs again...redders was also reported to have a bust-up with Gh
