PARIS, May 22 (AFP) - Brazilian star striker Ronaldo of Italian Serie A giants Inter Milan on Monday returned for checkup tests on his injured knee to the Pitie Salpetriere hospital where he underwent surgery last month.
The 23-year-old tore a tendon in his right knee just minutes after his return to action after a long lay-off in last month's Italian Cup final first-leg against Lazio which Inter went on to lose 2-1.
Professor Gerard Saillant, who operated on the star striker, has prepared a rehabilitation programme for the first four months for Ronaldo who is being treated in Milan by Inter's physiotherapists for the next few weeks before continuing his recovery in Brazil.
