Of course. All the "barcelonistas" love Ronaldinho and he´s the soul of this Barça. But the rest of the players deserve respect.

If you've seen any of the Barca games, you'll know that Ronnie is extremely important for the team. He's involved with a lot of the build up, along with Xavi and Deco. Etoo wouldn't be where he is today with him at all. The thing with Ronnie is that he isn't the prolific scorer and assist man he was last season because the team has a lot more options now, BUT he can dominate or change the game at will (see the match vs. Milan or Real Madrid).

Renato and Julio Baptista are good in there own right, and I love Julio Baptista's versatility, but they can't be compared to Xavi or even Deco.

Guti better than Xavi? you have to be kidding! I have to say that today we cannot rate how good most players in Barça are, simply because they have formed a unity where each one strenghtens the weakness of the other. Some players are simpling doing better because they have some great quality players behind them like Puyol, Ronaldinho and Deco.

But Guti will never be half as good as Xavi simply because he has the worst attitude, he will never fight to win he will always be the one bitching about things and not trying to solve them.

I'm sure that you're right. I can't watch your league, but even the Spanish international football journalists were surprised about Baptista. None of them expected something like that. In any case, it doesn't mean anything. The player is doing great, for any reason, and I'm sure that you will agree with me that La Liga is not an easy league. Baptista has progressed and this is a fact.

Totally agree with that.. All the players in the matchs are just as important as Ronaldinho.. Players win the ball and pass it to him, then he can provide the goals. Unless people can tell me that he can win the ball from his own penalty area and do all on his own all the time, then I have nothing to say. He is difficult to replace, yes. But he is the most important, no. Likewise for players in the team like Puyol and Xavi.

2. Puyol

If he can cut back on the party and street tricks and work more on assists and scoring, then maybe it would make sense to claim he is the best player since Maradona.

First of all, your list is totally wrong. The 3 most important players (most important, not most in form) are the 3 captains: Puyol, Ronaldinho, Xavi.

Ronaldinho may not have reached the form of last season, but this is mainly due to the fact that he doesn't have to carry the team anymore. But to question his ability is plain ignorance.

Sure, he may not do much for 85 minutes, but in his 5 minutes of genius it will change the game. That is what makes him the best. True football geniuses can change the pace or the outcome of a game with only a few actions which is what Ronaldinho does.

As many people have said, the players around him also feel better when Ronaldinho is around. He inspires others and never stops smiling.

No. Totally incorrect, this is a common mistake. The arrival of Davids coincided with the change of the system that saw Barça do so well. Sure, he was important, but if he is so good, why is Barça doing so well without him, and why isn't Inter Milan leading the Serie A?

I really don't know how to answer this. You are entitled to your opinion, but do you honestly believe this? Guti isn't even the starting midfielder in Spain NT, he is behind Xabi Alonso, Baraja, Sergio, and others. Just because he had a good few games does not mean he is better than Xavi.

Perhaps you should watch early games this season of Barça to truly appreciate him. Man, next you will say "I think Ricardo Oliviera is better than Shevchenko" :rollani:

Ohh, cut the crap. The game against Milan is going to be talked about for ages just like Zidane with his volley against Bayer L. It's not like he is the first person to score a goal in the 89 minutes. Plus Barca was already dominating that game (just like the first leg). Its' not like Milan was all over Barca.

Which Barça fan has said this? Ronaldinho is much more than only tricks. The only thing that it's true is that last year, we were ONLY Ronaldinho and this year we're much more than this. Honestly, I think that Ronaldinho is not that essential this year, but I won't ever deny his importance. Ronaldinho makes us much better, but it's not true that we're only Ronaldinho.
