quite a short list I suppose but one of the most fought over imo... Dica seems to be the number one since Cocis usually plays a DM position... Ad. Cristea struggles to start for Dinamo, Trica has a problem with his behaviour and Aliuta is quite old... Prepelita is an outsider since I do believe that he'd probably have a better chance at either RW or Cocis's DM position

this position is vital if Piturca decides to field this position... it could give us a huge advantage in attack or cripple our whole squad

In the 4-2-3-1 formation Dica is the obvious option for this place.

Others can be Ad.Cristea, Trica, Aliuta or Zicu.


Piturca can use Cocis there too.

I honestly think that Trica won't ever wear that romanian jersey again, his time has passed and although he's probably the best AM in Romania he pretty much screwed up with his antics

Ad.Cristea seems to become another Dinamovist with incredible talent that will underachieve throughout his career because of his bad attitude towards a game... kinda sad but he might end up as another Cernat, Sanmartean etc.

Aliuta is old but still useful for the Euros and maybe even the qualies... age doesn't matter if you rely on skill only... and he does

Zicu has to get back in shape though and it seems to take very long for him to do so

and Cocis is a player Piturca uses everywhere, he's very fond of him so I think Cocis will probably play every game in the Euros at some position

Cocis is fixed for Piturca, and right now Dica is his sub. I must say that he has earned his place, and he is very useful because of his defensive work too.

Zicu was used in the right when he played, so i don´t think he is seen as an AM. But his physique is bad and it was clear it was gonna take more to him to come back from a long injury. I hope he makes it in time.

Dica and Cocis cover this position quite well, I see no reason for experimenting here at all. Zicu can be a replacement for any AM/winger position on the squad...

They are different players but they play in the same spot. We either play with 2 DM´s and one AM, and that was Dica when Cocis was injured, with 3 DM´s that were Chivu, Codrea and O.Petre, or with 2 Dm´s and Cocis as the more offensive player of the midfield.

Against Russia in the second half Cocis took a more defensive position and the Niculaes and Dica were introduced, but that was a very offensive approach we hadn´t seen before. But with Chivu and Mutu on the field there´s no room for both Cocis and Dica, unless we are behind on the score and desperate for a goal.

this offensive approach worked wonders... i think we could probably dominate most teams with that tactic... but we'd concede more easily
