They're still the worst team in serie A, even if they don't lose by great margins. And to think that without Montella we would have at best gotten a draw considering our play as a team did not improve since the derby, again inidividual brilliance bails us out. :groan:Deano said:Well 2-1 is not so bad. i said we should not under-estimate Atalanta who only ever lose by 1 goal usually.
Well, that is true of course. Let my negativity get the upper hand earlier, 'tis all.Deano said:Its easy to say that without Montella bla bla bla, but the fact is Montella was there, he is a Roma player and he is our best goalscorer.
No team can play so easily without their main striker, if Zlatan is missing for Juve, or Shevchenko for Milan or whatever it is always going to be that bit tougher for that team, even if Juve and Milan would still beat Atalanta without them players.
Atalanta have only ever lost 1-0 like I said and considering the result on thursday, we did well just to win.
Agreed.Cacìni said:They're still the worst team in serie A, even if they don't lose by great margins. And to think that without Montella we would have at best gotten a draw considering our play as a team did not improve since the derby, again inidividual brilliance bails us out. :groan:
To be perfectly honest, I believe without Montella, the game would have ended 1-1.Demandred said:Come on, we would've most probably won without Montella, we dominated throughout and they didn't have a single decent attack until we nearly stopped playing with about 20 minutes to go. We were very far from our best, admittedly, but we did enough to win withiout really streching ourselves, which is not bad, especially after the derby debacle.
I guess I can't be happy for awhile until its really hit me that we won't be title challengers for God knows how long and Totti and Cassano are probably playing in Spain next year.Primo said:We also had a lot of disqualified and injured players! C'mon, we got 3 points, let's be happy for that!
