Pirri, Baggio will cop a bullet to get a chance to play in the Nazionale again!!
I was doubting that he would make such a comeback before but now unless he gets injured in these last remaining games I am all for him playing in the WC. I saw the goals and the first one was very good, 100% Robigol trademark overhead kick. I almost cried after seeing this goal. The second was a tap in from a ball heading in the goal already. His reaction, the team-mates reactions and the fans reactions show how much he wants to play in the coming world cup. So what if it won't be for 90 minutes, how many times did he play a full game in WC98? Baggio can play for 5 seconds and make something out of absolutely nothing!

I have no problem taking Delpi to the Cup because he's earned it. I don't think he should start as a striker, maybe a winger, but bring him. Delvecchio, on the other hand, played perhaps the worst match of his career vs. Milan yesterday. The guy is awful. Height or not, he shouldn't be considered.
If Maldini is going to the cup, Baggio should. Neither have to start, but I believe both should go. There's 20 spots to pick from after the 3 GKs, and that to, me, means there's space for them - due to their leadership and skills and effectiveness. Each week, Baggio will become stronger. If he doesn't snap it again in Serie A, which is a real possibility if he rushed back, than he should be fine by late May judging on his lively form of yesterday.
The advantages of bringing Roby are obvious, but there's one unmentioned here: His presence in Asia, where he has so many fans, could give Italia a type of "home field advantage" with the fans.

Now, I know DP has been playing better these days, and afterall I am a Juve fan, but, how freaken long has it taken DP to get back in form ? Even then, he's still not scoring on a regular basis. If he's going to be a striker, he's got to score goals. Bottom line. I don't mean penalty goals either
