Yesterday I felt an unexplained urge to give Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 another go. It's been years since I last played it and it does seem a bit dated now. But the story remains excellent and apparently so believable that some fear events from the game may come true. Graphically it doesn't quite hold up after GTA V and RDR2 showed us the capabilities of modern consoles. But then again, this game was designed on the previous generation so that can't be helped. Still it was a nice experience again and it remains one of the standout games of the series.

Modern Warfare 2? Or the first one?

MW2 is the only COD game I've played and it was pretty decent. I think it's meant to have one of the best campaigns in the franchise. The Spec Ops missions are the standout for me. These are meant to be pretty brutal but you can do them with a co-op partner (who better be good, lol).

In this case 2. The first one was rather annoying, with endless waves of respawn until you passed a checkpoint.
