I bet theyre all getting together conspiring as we speak:

Ref a: Yeah I went on holiday there an the food was crap so if theres any close offside decisions it definitely wont be going their way.

Ref b: Listen theyve won it enough times, how many more times do they want to win it, Ill be helping the opposition.

Ref c: Their manager looks like a scarecrow and I bet he doesnt have a sense of humour so they wont be getting any help for me. Damn theyre boring to watch, no extra time please.

But at least it's heartening to see some familiar names whom we can usually count on to be fair to both sides. Personally I respect the following refs:

Pierluigi Collina
Anders Frisk
Urs Meier
Gilles Veissiere
Markus Merk (I think).

Kim Milton Nielsen is usually pretty ok, but he does make some weird decisions now and then. Hugh Dallas is quite iffy. Not sure about the rest, though.

Ali Bujsaim has been doing this for years and years, he is a very respectable coach (not without mistakes), but years of experience and generally great matches.

Gamal Ghandour has also been very solid in last few years, but i don't know Saad Mane of Kuwait though.

Ramos Rizo Felipe for Brazil - England?! I don't really like this, he was the referee for France - Uruguay, and he made some big mistakes in that match. I hope he doesn't screw up this time. Also the Argentinian linesman Rattalino Jorge was the one who ruled Tomassi offside in that Italy - Korea game, but it was really tough for him to call that.

Other than that it's a good selection :)

I think you are talking about Coffi Codjia from Benin. He was the referee of the semifinal between Senegal and Nigeria.

He is still in the World Cup :)

I thought some fans and footballers were saying that since Benin does not have a league, why was he chosen as a FIFA World Cup referee?
