Real Madrid said on Thursday they were ready to sell midfielder Fernando Redondo to AC Milan for 3,000 million pesetas ($16.91 million).
A club spokesman, confirming the fee, said: "We have decided not to obstruct his move."
Spanish state radio (RNE) said Redondo would sign a three-year contract.
The news comes a day after Real Madrid technical director Jose Martinez Pirri and coach Vicente Del Bosque said the Argentine international was not for sale.
