Diarra is guranteed to play, Schuster cant be that foolish to give away the midfield again with weak players.

You misunderstood me. Of course it's going to be Mellberg. It's actually a given with Salihamidzic and Zebina still out. By 'questionmark' and 'fill for Grygera', I meant to say that the Czech missing in action is a big, understated blow to our chances to contain Real Madrid's offences, particularly Robben's. It was just a little tribute to one of our unsung heroes whom IMO has easily been top 3 performers for us this season. That, and the fact that Mellberg isn't one whose presence on the pitch reassures me one bit.

Let's wait and see what happens on the Marchionni/Camoranesi situation.

It will be interesting to see how Juve is going to bypass Diarra.

Well, it's not like we play with the ball that much in that part of the field.

I must've been watching the wrong games then for I've never seen Guti justifying the widespread belief that when all else fails, he could be the messiah. If anything, he's always been letting you guys down on big nights.

How moving to see you haven't lost all hope.

Bottom line, he had 17 assists in the league last year. 24 in all competitions. He's an outstanding playmaker and can rip any backline apart.

Nobody said Guti saves us when everything else fails, did we Steph? I simply refute the notion that it's a bonus if Guti plays since he is miles better in distribution than all of our midfielders from Sneijder to Van der Vaart to Gago, etc.

Guti's qualities command my respect, even though he's never instilled much fear into my heart when we met. The one and only time I thought he was truly devastating must have been when you guys crushed Milan, was it 5-0 (?), in a friendly a long time ago. Obviously, I don't often watch Real Madrid play.

If I've to single out a Real midfielder I've never started to understand what the big deal is about, it has to be Gago. Obviously, the second-last sentence still stands.
