Real Madrid news today:

- Pepe failed a fitness test this morning and will not play. This means Heinze moves to CB to partner Cannavaro, while the explosive Marcelo gets the nod at LB.

- Ruud van Nistelrooy is good to go and will likely start the game.

- Huge dilemna in midfield. Everybody minus De la Red are healthy. Schuster must pick 3 out of Van der Vaart, Sneijder, Guti.HAZ, Gago, and Diarra.

I'll be happy once Diarra doesn't play... if Guti plays that's a bonus.

Yes, how fantastic it'd be for you if last season's La Liga assist champion plays. :doh:

Bottom line, he had 17 assists in the league last year. 24 in all competitions. He's an outstanding playmaker and can rip any backline apart.

Nobody said Guti saves us when everything else fails, did we Steph? I simply refute the notion that it's a bonus if Guti plays since he is miles better in distribution than all of our midfielders from Sneijder to Van der Vaart to Gago, etc.
