City should of had two penalties. The ref was really poor. Booking Johnson for no reason! While they were lunging dangerously all game. I am very dissapointed. I think we'll finish the season very dissapointingly now. There seems to be no determination about us at the moment. Dunne went off injured. It looked really bad but thank god he should be alright. Overall we played poorly but the game was overshadowed by the referee.

The only upsetting thing about yesterdays game was Dunne having to go off with that pretty nasty gash.

I love the fact you guys can't score and Sturridge can't even get on the bench, tactical genius that Sven guy.

Oh and the talk of Elano being the best ever has died down a bit after a few months of 'decent' play. *shocked*

I'd say we can't score because of a lack of supply to Benjani MArc rather than because Sturridge isn't playing. If Surridge was on he'd be just as frustrated as Benjani. Without Petrov we're really lacking supply.

Sturridge plays in the hole though, as in a lot of play can go through him. Plus if you have no movement up front, no one in midfield could do anything. I don't think the one striker option is the most attacking either. In terms of tactics and selection, I think Sven is showing his usual self... very limited manager. Just my extremely biased opinion though, and I'm rather annoyed that its yet another season that will bypass one of our greatest talents in a long time. Getting the sinking feeling he will start to spiral down.

Sturridge has been playing in the FA Youth Cup a lot though, maybe thats why he's not on the bench. Remember he was out injured until January. Sven recognises his talent but does not want to rush him back too early, he even admitted he's scared he'll get injured again.

Sturridge does play in the hole, yes, but I think that is why he isn't involved right now. Elano is in poor form, but I think Sturridge is a bit more attacking than him, and playing Sturridge supporting Benjani would maybe be too attacking. I'd still like to see him on the bench though, there's no denying that.
