I know we have heard it all before, but for them to get a player so on top of his game and with such a bright future I think is a major transfer coup

you are absolutely right. the last thing united needs is to clear out promising young players to make room for another painfully slow, temperamental, over the hill playmaker - a role already played to great effect by marco etcheverry. the only speculation on the subject i've seen has come from the other side of the pond, and anyone who's ever visited a british soccer site knows that speculation, rather than reporting, is the name of the game. gazza will never play for dc united. at least i hope not.
