Rangers have been linked with a move for Internazionale's Adrian Mutu, and could take the player on loan for two seasons.

Mutu starred for Romania in Euro 2000, but his chances at the San Siro have been limited due to the amount of strikers and non-European players in the Nerazzurri squad.

Inter have told Rangers that they are not interested in selling the Romanian, but would like to take part in a co-ownership deal, which could see the young striker arrive at Ibrox for two seasons, before moving back to Italy.

The player himself is reportedly interested in moving to Scotland and would welcome the chance to play Champions League football.

Rangers chairman David Murray has stated that he is not interested in Mutu, but did confirm that he had been offered the player.
