As most of you probably know, he is the only Estonian player in a big and successful club right now. he went there on loan from Almelo Heracles last season and played 15 league matches on the road to the Dutch championship. AZ signed him on permanent basis in the summer but he has been mainly a bench player this season although he has some appearances in Eredivisie. He is yet to make his debut in the CL where he has the chance to become the first ever Estonian to play in CL group stage.

He mostly plays as a CB in AZ but could play anywhere in defense and midfield. IMO his strengths come out better on a central midfield position.

he's doing pretty good there, definitely the most successful Estonian player at the club level at the moment. He's been starting in many matches (mainly as a CB) including the first leg of Europa League QFs vs Valencia which AZ won 2-1 (and then got trashed in the 2nd leg where he didn't play :pp).

AZ was leading the league too for a while but now Ajax is running away with the title. Now they will face a tough fight for the CL spot...but might theoretically miss European football altogether as there are five teams inside 3 points fighting for places in Europe.
