After hearing of Svens sacking on bbc website. I have to ask are the pressures on managers today greater than ever from their billionaire owners? I believe so...
Dodgy foreigners buying football clubs to bring their dirty money into England is beginning to touch a nerve to be honest. Surely there must be tighter reigns on such acquisitions in England. Obviously from my point of view I believe that Thanksin Shitawara has no real idea of what football is about and was hoping for a team with over-night success. Personally I thought Sven was doing quite well and this is a shock surprise in my eyes.
The same with Mourinho who was by the far the best bloody thing that came to England. The man refused to speak in platitudes when it came to the crunch and refused to be ordered who to play and what signings came to the club i.e. (Sheva). Same outcome again sacked by the Russian Gulag for the lack tof "sexy football" and god knows what else. With all the success he brought to Chelsea, it was a bad desicion to get rid of the "special one" with proven track record like his.
Im not saying Sven was a la Mourinho but I thought he did quite well with City and a top ten finish could be seen as something to build on for the future.
Rafa Benitez another example. Not yet sacked but the pressure of not doing particularly well in the league, but ramping in europe gives the American owners the right to start tallking to Klinsman with Rafa finding out in the papers first rather than the board notifying him on what the hell is going on.
My conclusion on these foreign investors in I wish they could all piss off back to where they came from or at least have the decency to act like Randy Lerner. You dont hear a peep from the man and thats the way it should be...
Those are my two cents...
