- 7 native players in the starting 11.

- Players can't move abroad until they are 23 OR have played 80% of the league games for two seasons.

- Allow each coach 2 videoreviews per game and allow the fourth ref constant acces to game footage so he can guide the ref on the field.

- Punish diving in the penalty area with a red card.

- Sin binning instead of yellow cards

- dissent to be punished instantly with free kicks and movement of the free kick forward (and actioned with zero tolerance)

- divers to be banned on clear video evidence

- players to be treated while play continues

- substitutions to take place while game continues, put an end to irritating late substitutions to break the game up

- Allow digital help to ref's by implementing a chip in a ball which indicates if a goal was scored or not.
- The same for offside.

Done.

- Allow keepers to handle only in the goal area, as opposed to the penalty area, to prevent them from killing attacks by rushing out to cut down the angle, and to ensure they stay closer to goal during corner kicks meaning less chance of punching the ball away and more chance of scoring from a header.

- Divide the pitch into thirds instead of halves. Eliminate offsides when a player receives a ball in the same third as the passer was in when he made the pass. When a pass is made from one third into another the offside rule works the same as it currently does.

:howler: sure, make it even more complicated :D Those poor refs can't even deal with it right now, let alone with this rule :D

- Disallow keepers to pick up any ball passed to him by a teammate. Including headers, knees, shins, thighs, chests etc etc.

- Tell the refs to get their head out of their asses and start making the wall keep their distance at freekicks. If the wall doesn't keep their distance, yellow card and make the wall stand back an extra 2 meters. The ball remains in the same position.

- Get rid of ridiculous yellow cards for celebrations.

- Tell the linesmen to stop making retarded guesses when it comes to offside. When in doubt don't wave.

Awful idea's tbh. They'd both completely change the dynamic that makes football what it is.

I think Doug's Subsitution idea is an interesting one although it could be pretty chaotic if you wanted to switch a winger over. To get round that, you just have to eliminate the effect that subs have on time wasting. Just add a minute or so to added time for every sub.

I think the challenge decision is a brilliant idea tbh.

Using two soccer balls instead of one. It would make the game a lot more entertaining.

Also, the coach has to sub in for at least 15 minutes. This would ensure that teams would hire young, fit managers.

1. all players should be blindfolded.
2. all players should be tied to one of their teammates by the ankle, a la three-legged races.
3. home sides should be allowed to booby trap their pitches.
4. both FA Cup semi-finals should be played at Wembley, simultaneously. 44 players on the pitch, two balls, two referees.
5. goalkeepers should be made to hang upside down from the crossbar for penalty kicks

1. For referees to actually give a penalty at Old Trafford once in a while. The Pompey penalty in the FA Cup was a ground-breaking development. Let's hope it gives courage to other referees in the game that a penalty can indeed be given against Manchester United at Old Trafford.

or ban subs after a certain time, like 80 mins.
