Our championship has too few games. In fact, our players have more than 3 months of vacation during the Winter and one or one and a half months of vacation in the Summer.

What do you think about chainging the actual system
? What about making the championship start at the beginning of March, have a week or two of vacation in the Summer, start the second part of the championship and finish at the end of December?

that would give the Romanian players 2 months more to play, that means 8 more games!

Starting March would mean to play all summer long, and our players are too lazy for that. And since not many teams are having floodlights, playing under a 38 degrees C temperature would be terrible.

Best option:
Divizia A: 12 teams with playoffs and playouts
Divizia B: 12 teams with playoffs and playouts
Divizia C: 4x12 teams with playoffs and playouts
Divizia D: 41x12 teams with promotion playoffs for winners of each serie [campionat judetean]

Also:
> a better organised Romanian Cup - two legs for each round, and not neutral venues like now
> old players shouldn't be allowed to play in the 'tineret-rezerve' matches

David

The period of high temperatures would last maximum 2 months, during this time they can do something to play in a stadium with floodlights. This is not such a big issue.

Still, that would mean that 4 out of 12 months our players do not play. It's too much.

They could start in mid August and end it in early June.
They would play like 16 league games plus at least 4 cup games per Divizia A team. That's 40 games in a period of 10 months, that's 40 games in 44 weeks, that's almost a game every 8 days, which is pretty good.

Not to mention that the B, C and D teams will play a lot of preliminary rounds in the Romanian Cup, TWO LEGGED rounds, and they'll have plenty of games.

I like the play-off, play-out system, which would lead to more games in the championship, especially in Divizia A, and also, more quality games.

Some say that a Steaua-Dinamo game might become too common if there are 4 per season, but who cares, I'd rather watch these games than 2 Ceahlaul-Gloria or 2 Petrolul-Sportul. It is better, let's say, for Radoi from Steaua, to play 4 games against Dinamo, Rapid, Craiova than against Ceahlaul.

Adding 2 legs to each Cup round, as some people mentioned above, is also useful. There is the 16-game round, the 8-game round and the quarter final which take place on neutral stadiums. Changing the system will add 3 more games for each game, and also it will bring some money to Divizia B and C clubs that manage to bring a Divizia A team to their stadium.

Unfortunately, they will probably make it 18 teams. You can imagine how relaxed that championship will be, with Gloria just floating in the middle of the table, "stand capra" la toata lumea.
