Although the season is not over yet, it is safe to say that so far it has been nothing short of disaster.

Do you think DDV is to blame for the moves he made (or didnt make) over the summer and winter transfer periods?
Or, are the players to blame for underachieving?

maybe this could be a poll? i dont know how to do it....

Lack of a coach was the only problem.

We wernt going to go anywhere like Europe, but we definatly should not be fighting relegation EVEN with a thrown together mix of a team. We should be on the edge of a UEFA spot, firmly entrenched in the mid-table. So I would say no, DDV's project wasnt a disaster moreover a run of bad luck.

Lupatelli - before this season reguarded as a quality keeper, started with some unreal performances and has recently just been plain sh!te.

Ujafalusi - great fullback and was out on injury for most of the jan/feb campaign which meant we were never at full strength.

Bojinov - a risk, but well worth it. what a future he has ahead of him and such loyalty he displays. red carded and THEN injured scoring his first goal. again, when Ujafalusi is to return, we'll be down

Miccoli - battling hard all season, then himself falls to injury.

Nakata/Donadel/Maresca - who? where? nuff said

Jorgensen - good player and has been putting in solid performances, but again he's been working with half a team.

Pazzini - great displays and would be awesome to see him operating with everyone.

Is it this weekend that we should see everyone listed above fully fit or available to play? It will be interesting to see how we operate.

the man has poured in a stack of money and bought some very good young players with a vision for the future. it would be a shame (and that's an understatement) to see Fiorentina get relegated this season but if you can stay up and sign a couple more players the team has got plenty of potential

they're young and for most of them it's their first season together. give them some more time :)

They must get their act together right now, otherwise this will be their last season together.

Good point Mago.

Regarding DDV, I think he has done as much as he possibly could have done for this club and we got back to Serie A 1 year less than the minimum amount of time required. We can't thank him enough.

There are two reasons for our disastrous season:

1. Injuries: Our best players got injured during a time when we most needed them. What's worse is, we don't really have any good back-up players except Pazzini.

2. Our goalkeepers make too many mistakes, and they happen when we least want them to.

I find it hard to lay blame on one particular person or Incident in relation to Fiorentina,It's a similar scenario to what Roma's season has been about.

DDV considers replacing Lucchesi with Franco Baldini (ex-Roma). There have also been talks with Prandelli, who is now in pole position to succeed Zoff.
