Warnock has only managed once in the Premier League and took Sheffield United down. Cannot say he's proven at keeping teams up, just because he plays similar style to Pulis doesn't mean he's anywhere near the quality or experience of Pulis.

crazy game at St. James Park (or whatever they call it today :D)

3:3 draw with Palace, Palace scoring goals 30 seconds into the match and the equalizer in the 95th minute.

So every club has at least a point this season with Burnley getting a draw and QPR getting their first win

Because they sold a handful of players the media went in overdrive to say they were crap, without actually looking at the rather impressive bit of business they were doing in the transfer market. Udinese in Italy were the kings of this and Southampton may become a little like that.

Ridiculous decision from Ashley to give Pardew that long term deal in the first place, wonder how long he'll ponder on about getting rid of him before he pulls the trigger. Games like today's will certainly speed up the process if anything.

Southampton's departures were blown over the top, they'll be more than fine. Never saw them as one of the 3/4 worst teams in the league even after all those players left anyways.

As I commented in the transfer thread, the media wanted to blow the Southampton thing out of proportion as if they were relegation fodder. They love to ruin a player, club or manager here - see England.

Newcastle won't go down if they get rid of Pardz, never liked the ****. Ashley's forked out for lots of decent foreign talent and their youth scouting/system is bearing some fruit with Paul Dummet and Rolando Aarons (this kid will be huge). If he gets in a decent manager, even David Moyes, they'll be more than fine.

It`s a rolling contract..May to May each year....so if Pardew gets sacked, Ashley has to pay up his contract until this May, not the remaining 6 years or whatever is left on it. At least Ashley learned something when Keegan quit.

The few supporters that Pardew did seem to have previously have lost faith now and turned against him after this diabolical performance.

18 points from 69 this year...woeful form since December, early cup exits, worst derby record ever as Newcastle manager, the list goes on.

Pardew will get sacked before the end of September. His record in 2014 is shocking.

sadly, as a Newcastle fan I don`t think any credible manager would want to work under the constraints of Ashley (rolling contract, limited budget, best players sold etc) and understandably so.

Anyway, looks like Pardew is still in charge for the next game.

I don't think Mike Ashley is half as bad as you lot up there make out. He's one of the more stable owners and never interferes with the football. Would you rather Newcastle went bust? He's a shrewd business man. Every club sells its best player eventually, even bigger clubs than the Toon.

All media nonsense that he's a bad owner. He's done some questionable things, like most owners, but to me you'd be a lot worse off. And shove off 'limited budget' - the Toon have had some really productive transfer windows, not all the players fault Pardz is terrible. Can see what Ashley tried to do by creating stability because he went through how many managers before him? Other than the Joe Kinnear business I think if he goes big with a decent manager they've got a good enough squad for 7th-10th in the Prem.

Pardew is the one man on the whole planet that thought Hayden Mullins was more useful to him than Javier Mascherano
