I'm not an Italian, so there is something I don't understand: The colors of the Italian flag are Green, Red and White, and the colors of the Italian team's uniforme are Blue and White.
Where is the Red??? Where is the Green??? What the hell is the Blue doing there???

The azzuri wear that colour because it represents the colours of the royal house of Savoy, which was in essence, Italy's Royal Family.
