Hi people :)

Could you please translate this bit into English? I'm not great at Norwegian (well, I don't know a single word ) and an online translator I used gives really weird result :D

I guess it means that it's useless to wait for a proper reply from them and that I can only phone them to find out the info I need? :(

Thanks in advance, and sorry for offtopic.

I would be disappointed if you didn't get an answer on Monday. If not, we'll see what we can do.
They did reply yesterday and gave an email address where I should forward my question to. I did it, adding "Urgent" in the subject field and received a reply about 30 minutes later :star: Looks like we'll be able to solve this problem I had with a ticket :relieved: Thanks a lot again :)

Btw, what would you recommend to see in Oslo considering that we'll just have a couple of days for sightseeing, or maybe even less? :D

If I might come with some suggestions I would say that "Vigelandsparken" is a definite must (I`ll be adding some links on the bottom for more information on the various suggestions). As the title suggests its a park and the main one in Oslo.

I would also suggest that you take the short boat-trip from Rådhusplassen (City hall) to Bygdøy and visit the Kon-Tiki museum dedicated Thor Heyerdahl, the explorer and adventurer, as well as norwegian Viking-history.

Down by the harbour and area of Rådhusplassen you`ll also find Akershus Festning (the city castle).

Another common place to pay visit is Holmenkollbakken. A ski-jumping hill that is claimed to be Norways most visited tourist attraction. You`d better be quick though as theyre about to tear the old hill down and start building a new one in the very near future ;)

These are the four most common attractions for tourists visiting Oslo, but besides those I would just suggest that you just try to blend in an enjoy the everyday city life as citizens of Oslo for a few days.

Enjoy!

Thanks a lot for such a detailed report  A friend of mine has been to Norway and she also recommends Vigelandsparken. And I definitely would like to see Akershus festning (I love castles :D).

Holmenkollen must be difficult to get to, no? :( (I don't want to run around the city the whole day tbh because it's supposed to be a relaxing weekend :lazy: So whatever is close to the city center or easy to get to will be perfect :D)

How cold is it in Oslo now?

Reaching Holmenkollen is quite easy. You could get there by either taking the subway or a bus from the city centre. Just ask around on Oslos tourist office about the easiest way to get there. It shouldnt be a problem. While youre there you should pay a visit to Frognerseteren as well. Probably the most notable old school café in Oslo that also comes with a panoramic view of the city and both norwegian and continental cuisine. I even think theyve got steak tartar on their menu.

Current temperature in Oslo is about 10 degrees.

It's freezing compared to +15 C in Moscow... Should I take my winter jacket with me? :frownani:

Most definitely. That said, April has for the last 5-6 years usually been rather warm in Oslo, so I wouldnt be suprised if the temperature soon will on terms with the current one in Moscow.

I saw there´s a help-thread already, so I just ask here.

Could one of the Norwegians in this Forum eventually tell me how or where I could get this cool song http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AJ52KfiIEK8

Obviously a football song, written for Norwegian NT? I would like to have it on CD , or as MP3. Thanx in advance.

Better late than never right?

Go here ---> http://www.videodownloadx.com/

Copy youtube-link to download-section and press download...wait a couple of seconds...then you will get a download button under the logo's there. Download it where it says download to the right of the picture that pops up there. Then download a converter-program called @Super. Search for it at google. Convert it to whatever file you like and is possible.
