we need him like neved did before..

Now he can lead us to the throphies, in a moment in which we need 5 chances to score 1, he can score even with his arse but the important is that the ball goes over the line.

dunno if he's that needed now, with crespo comming back to his usual great peek... oh well, it's better to have a reliable back up, instead of not having him...

just wandering who will be the backup and who will be the starter ??? ? notsure about it

Is he fit to play against Udinese in the Coppa? I'd like to see a 10-15 minute run-out for him :hopefull:

Ancelotti: Inzaghi is ready Tuesday 25 January, 2005

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Pippo Inzaghi is back in the squad for the Coppa Italia and Carlo Ancelotti admits the Milan star is ready for his return.

“If I’m bringing him along it certainly isn’t just so that he can make up the numbers on the bench,” commented the tactician.

The Italian international has been out of action since undergoing ankle surgery in October, but it’s a recurring problem that has left him practically sidelined for a year. He scored in a training session this week as is set for his official comeback in Wednesday’s Coppa quarter-final with Udinese.

Inzaghi’s return comes at the right time for the Rossoneri, who fell five points behind leaders Juventus with their shock 1-0 defeat at Livorno.

“Perhaps we defended a little too deep on the decisive free kick, then lost concentration after that goal. However, that was a moment in the season that is now behind us and we must move on.”

Ancelotti hopes to get his team back on track in the Coppa Italia, a trophy they won in 2003 and reached the semi-final last season.

“We are already at an advanced stage of the competition and believe that with our squad we are capable of going all the way in Serie A, the Champions’ League and Coppa Italia,” he insisted.

“I will rotate the squad for this tie, but not because we underestimate the challenge involved. It is precisely because we want to maintain a balance between all three tournaments.”

“I also want to see proof that the Livorno defeat left no psychological hang-ups on the players,” added Ancelotti, “though Udinese will be eager as they also lost on Sunday.”

Alessandro Nesta could play in defence, as he will be suspended for next week’s Serie A encounter with Bologna.

:scared: poor pippo :depress:

pippo injured his fingers since he collided with the keeper in the instance that ambro tied the game...he's always so brave in front of the goal and hence placing himself into such kind of danger frequently. :depress:

recover soon, pippo, you are the last remaining puzzle of our champion team. Your spirit, your goal proaching instinct and your genuine passion for the beuatiful game is UNIQUE and VITAL to Rossoneri! :shades:

It's no coincidence that, as long as Carlo field pippo when we are 1:2 down, we regained the lead by scoring two goals back.

2 years ago, against Atalanta and Ajax, Pippo has been the determining factor of our magical revival. And he did it again last night! :star:

It's official :( Pippo to undertake surgery. He's out for 3/4 weeks :frustrat:

His injury happened when he chipped the ball for Ambro's equalizer :shades: :frustrat: :shades:
