If I could choose three from all time, I'd have picked the great
Nilton Santos to solve our leftback problems,
Didi to orchestrate our midfield and
Garrincha to ridicule and dismantle opposing defenses. :star:

Cesar Prates----Emerson---Scheidt----Nilton Santos
---------Juca----------Tulio---------Didi----------
----------------------Ramon----------------------
----Garrincha-----Alex Alves
(or Guilherme)----
It's still far from perfect
(I would definitely need to "bring back" much more than three players to make it perfect) , but it would be beautiful to have those giants back in the team. It hurts the eyes to see Juca in the same midfield as Didi, though. :stress:
But considering that I'd have to call only players I have seen play in my lifetime
(didja actually see Bellini and Canhoteiro play, Liternit? ), it would sadly mean no Garrincha and no Nilton Santos... :moan: :sob: :broken: ... so I'd settle for
Mauro Galvão,
Alemão and
Renato Gaucho.
Mauro Galvão
(who was a Botafogo player when he defended Brazil in the 1990 WC) would end our worries on the central defense, Alemão
(who was still Botafogo's captain when he played his first WC, in 86) and Tulio would be a dominating midfield partnership, and Renato in his prime would breathe new life in our strikeforce, regardless of his partner.

Not bad, not bad at all.
